A guidebook for the learning and development of children ages 3 to 6.The language field states that requires children to express and listen, write and read, which are the necessary knowledge and skills for children to enter elementary school. In this study,we used a combination of experiments and tests to investigate the effects of " play stories" on children’s language readiness in a kindergarten class in Luoyang,Henan Province. The results of the study showed that the developmental level of language readiness of the children in the experimental group increased after the intervention compared with that of the children in the control group, and the increase was significant, indicating that "play stories" had an important impact on the development of language readiness of the children. The further analysis of the differences in the seven dimensions of language readiness between the pre-and postintervention groups showed that "play stories" had a significant effect on the five dimensions of auditory memory and listening comprehension,auditory-motor transfer and small muscle control,visual-motor transfer and visual reproduction, picture viewing and narration, and reading skills.Based on the analysis of the positive impact of "play stories" on children’s language readiness, this study was conducted from the perspective of both kindergartens and kindergarten teachers. The study suggests that Kindergartens should focus on the long-term development of young children and do a good job in preparing them for school education to avoid the misconception of "primary schooling" to another misconception of not teaching anything;and kindergarten teachers should be familiar with the use of "play stories".Kindergarten teachers should be familiar with the implementation process of "play stories",improve the quality of teacher-child interaction, learn to use various teaching strategies to build a bridge for children’s language readiness development, and promote the development of children’s oral language skills,pre-reading and pre-writing skills. |
