Teaching materials are an important vehicle in the teaching and learning process and an important medium for developing well-rounded individuals.It is the key to the implementation of curriculum plans and standards,as well as the most important material for teachers to carry out teaching and organize students’ activities.This thesis analyzes the content of the "General High School Curriculum Standards(revised in 2020,2017 edition)" and takes the development of "Music and Drama" in China and the current content requirements of this module into consideration,taking the four editions of high school "Music and Drama" from People’s Music Publishing House,Huacheng Publishing House,Hunan Literature and Arts Publishing House,Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Shanghai Music Publishing House as examples.The study is based on the textbook "Music and Drama" in high school and summarizes the characteristics of the four editions and gives suggestions for their use.The main contents of this study are 1.to systematically review the origin and development of drama courses at home and abroad and the requirements of the module "Music and Drama" in the New Curriculum;2.to sort out and analyze the arrangement characteristics and contents of the four editions of Music and Drama textbooks,and to compare the arrangement and practical activities of the four editions in terms of hierarchical structure,content arrangement clues,unit blocks,and practical activities,etc.The differences between the four editions of the textbook in terms of arrangement and content are compared;3.The research methods used in this paper are literature analysis,comparative study,and inductive summary.Firstly,the theoretical basis is formed,then the content of each part of the four editions of the textbook is comparatively analyzed,and the characteristics of the four editions of the textbook in each part are summarized.The final summary points: First,drama is a special carrier of art and culture,and drama teaching has a positive and profound meaning of quality education for young people in the new era.The four editions of the "Music and Drama" textbook have their characteristics,and teachers should make appropriate extensions according to the characteristics of the four editions when using them to meet the requirements of academic quality in the New Curriculum.The module of "Music and Drama" is getting more and more attention in primary and secondary school music education,but the implementation of drama teaching has certain difficulties,so the development of "Music and Drama" related content research,increases the understanding of each version of "Music and Drama" teaching materials The study of "music and drama" is of great significance in promoting the development of music education in primary and secondary schools in China.
