| As one of the important types of lessons in junior secondary mathematics,exercises are an effective way to improve students’ ability to use their knowledge and solve mathematical problems in an integrated manner.The quadratic function is both a key point and a difficult point in the learning of mathematics in junior secondary school,and the exercises related to the quadratic function are representative in the teaching of junior secondary school exercise classes.Therefore,this study attempts to combine these two aspects and investigate the current situation of teaching quadratic functions in junior secondary school exercise classes.This study mainly used questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyse the research questions Firstly,the questionnaire method is used to analyze the current situation of the teaching of quadratic function exercises between teachers and students from a non-cognitive perspective,test papers are prepared based on Polya’s problem solving theory to analyse the difficulties that students have in solving quadratic functions from a cognitive perspective.Secondly,interviews are conducted to find out teachers’ views and suggestions on teaching quadratic functions.Finally,based on the current problems in the teaching of "quadratic functions" exercises,countermeasures are proposed for teaching quadratic functions under the guidance of relevant educational theories and examples of teaching design are given.The results show that the problems in teaching quadratic functions exercises in junior high school mainly include the following four aspects: firstly,the selection of exercises is patterned;secondly,the teaching content focuses on problem-solving skills;thirdly,students’ problemsolving skills need to be strengthened;and fourthly,the setting of teaching activities lacks rationality.In view of the problems identified in the current teaching situation,the following teaching countermeasures are proposed to optimise the quadratic function exercise lessons: 1.The selection and organisation of exercise content should focus on typicality and hierarchy.2.The flexible application of mathematical thinking methods should be emphasized.3.The teaching of exercise lessons should be driven by Polya’s problem solving theory.4.Setting up sensible teaching activities to take advantage of student autonomy.Based on the above teaching strategies and combined with Polya’s problem solving theory and variation teaching,the content of the junior secondary quadratic function exercise lessons is designed for teaching. |
