Study On The Influence Of Education Level On Marital Satisfaction Of Chinese Married Residents

With the development of social productivity and the improvement of people’s living standards,the traditional concept of marriage and family is also changing with The Times,and people are more in pursuit of equality and freedom in marriage.The divorce rate has increased and the phenomenon of late marriage has become more serious,which has affected the stability of marriage and family and caused the inevitable sociological problems.Among them,marriage satisfaction,as a hot issue in today’s society,has aroused the research and discussion of scholars at home and abroad.They cover the relationship between different population groups and different influencing factors and marriage satisfaction in the selection of research perspectives.This paper summarizes and combs relevant domestic and foreign literature on the impact of education level on marriage satisfaction.Combined with the research purpose,this paper selects the data of China General Social Survey(CGSS)in 2017,and analyzes the status quo of education level and characteristics of marriage satisfaction of China’s married population by descriptive statistics.The ordered multiple Logistic regression model was used to study the impact of education level on marital satisfaction.The research ideas of empirical analysis were as follows:selection of variables,model fitting,result testing and explanatory parameters.Through the results of model regression,we can understand the influence of education level on marital satisfaction,hoping to provide some theoretical reference for the research on related issues.The concrete conclusions obtained from the empirical study are as follows: First,the education level has a positive impact on marriage satisfaction on the whole,that is,the improvement of education level will increase marriage satisfaction;Second,in terms of significance,except for the group with university education level,the other groups have statistically significant effects on marital satisfaction compared with the group with postgraduate education level or above in the reference group.Third,with the improvement of education level,its effect on marital satisfaction is decreasing,and the decreasing range is getting weaker and weaker.The above conclusions verify the hypothesis proposed in the article.Fourth,in terms of gender heterogeneity,male population and female population show differences.There was no significant correlation between male population and female population in all groups of education level,while there was significant correlation between female population and female population.In addition,from the analysis of influence degree,the education level of female population has a greater impact on marital satisfaction than that of male population.Based on the influence of the education level on marriage satisfaction of Chinese residents,some relevant suggestions are put forward for reference only: first,increase the amount of investment in education funds;Second,to narrow the educational gap between different regions;Third,make full use of educational resources;Fourthly,parents should establish correct education consciousness.
