Junior middle school mathematics teaching is a basic course to cultivate students ’mathematical literacy and ability,but under the influence of long-term exam-oriented education,its educational purpose and teaching practice are gradually drifting away.In order to break this situation,the upsurge of teaching reform has arisen in the society,and various novel and effective teaching modes have begun to be widely popular.The ’ 5E ’ teaching mode is a kind of inquiry teaching originated from the field of biology in the United States.The current research results show that compared with the traditional teaching mode,the ’ 5E ’ teaching mode is helpful to develop students ’ comprehensive ability and help students understand and apply knowledge more deeply.Based on this,in order to get rid of the criticism of traditional junior middle school mathematics teaching and improve the teaching efficiency,this study uses the methods of questionnaire survey,interview and experimental research,and takes the teaching of ’ inverse proportional function ’ as an example to carry out experimental research,and explores the teaching design and implementation effect of ’ 5E ’ teaching mode in junior middle school mathematics teaching,so as to give full play to the basic value of junior middle school mathematics teaching.In the experimental stage,by analyzing the unit test scores,classroom observation scales,self-evaluation scales and interview records of the two groups of students,the following conclusions are obtained :(1)The ’ 5E ’ teaching mode is helpful to mobilize students ’ enthusiasm for mathematics learning and active classroom atmosphere.In the participation link,teachers attract students ’attention through rich functional situations and life situations,with the help of corresponding modern teaching methods,guide students to cooperate and explore in the inquiry link,encourage students to express themselves in the interpretation link,and encourage students to self-evaluate and reflect in the evaluation link.These help to mobilize students ’ enthusiasm and activate the classroom atmosphere.(2)The ’ 5E ’ teaching mode is helpful to promote students ’ understanding and application of mathematical knowledge.Independent sample t-test was conducted on the post-test scores of the two groups of students.The results showed that there was a significant difference in the total scores of the two groups of students,which was mainly reflected in the score of the expansion knowledge of the inverse proportional function,but the difference in the score of the basic knowledge was not obvious.This shows that the model has a positive effect on improving students ’ performance.It can help students to understand the essence of the inverse proportional function knowledge and flexibly use its meaning and image properties to solve deep and comprehensive function problems.(3)The ’ 5E ’ teaching mode is helpful to cultivate students ’ mathematical core literacy.The teaching implementation results based on the ’ 5E ’ model show that,on the one hand,for students with different grades,this model has different degrees of positive effects on students ’interest in mathematics learning,mathematical logic reasoning literacy,function learning analogy inquiry ability,cooperative learning ability,and reflection ability.On the other hand,the ’ 5E ’ teaching model based on constructivist learning theory can guide students to continuously correct,integrate,and internalize the relevant knowledge of inverse proportional functions in the process of inquiry and interpretation,develop their functional thinking,and thus construct the knowledge system of inverse proportional functions.
