education as mandated by the state.The spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC emphasizes that higher education institutions must conscientiously fulfill their mission of studying,researching,and disseminating the CPC’s innovative theories,continuously promoting the reform and innovation of ideological and political work in schools,and enhancing the appeal,cohesion,and influence of the CPC’s innovative theory learning and dissemination to enable the spirit of the 20th National Congress to take root and bear fruit among the vast majority of teachers and students.The primary issues addressed by ideological and political issues in higher education institutions are what kind of people to cultivate,how to cultivate them,and for whom to cultivate them.In the process of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,it is crucial to cultivate well-rounded successors in the domains of morality,intellect,physical fitness,aesthetics,and labor.Ideological and political education in higher education institutions must not adhere to outdated methods but should continuously innovate and keep pace with the times.As such,the positioning of ideological and political education in higher education institutions must be high and strong.Ideological and political education is closely related to the educated,so it must be aligned with real life.Constantly enhancing the affinity of ideological and political education serves the long-term development of students.To improve the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions,it is essential to fully grasp the scientific connotation of ideological and political education and then continuously explore effective paths to enhance the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions based on this foundation.Ideological and political work in higher education institutions is an important task entrusted to them by the Party organization.This paper investigates how to enhance ideological and political work in higher education institutions from the perspective of affinity.The main content of this paper is divided into six parts.Part Ⅰ is the introduction,which mainly sorts out the background,purpose,and significance of the topic selection.The concept of ideological and political education in higher education institutions is relatively widespread in China,but there is no unified concept in foreign ideological thought.There are many domestic and foreign research achievements,but no high-impact theories have been formed.Part Ⅱ defines the important concepts and theoretical evolution of the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions,comprehensively discussing the connotation,characteristics,and other aspects of the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions,providing a basic theoretical and conceptual foundation for the subsequent paper.Part Ⅲ summarizes the essential role of enhancing the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions.This chapter concludes with four points:implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talent in higher education institutions,enhancing the appeal of ideological and political education,promoting the innovation and development of ideological and political theory courses in higher education institutions,and cultivating morally and intellectually well-rounded socialist successors.By elucidating the role of the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions,its importance is demonstrated.Part Ⅳadopts research analysis to analyze the current situation of the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions and comprehensively summarizes the achievements,existing problems,and causes of the problems in the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions.This includes deficiencies in improving the affinity of ideological and political education in higher education institutions,such as insufficient precision in education goals,unrefined education content,and outdated education methods.Part V proposes corresponding countermeasures based on the problems and causes analyzed in the Part Ⅳ,such as
