In April 2022,the Ministry of Education promulgated the History Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),which put forward new requirements for junior high school history teaching. The new standards pay more attention to the quality education of students and put forward corresponding teaching suggestions for history teaching. In order to explore the developmental issues of junior high school history teaching under the guidance of the new standards and to realise the integration of junior high school history teaching with the core literacy required by the new standards, junior high school history teachers must adapt to the new teaching philosophy, actively seek changes and transform their previous teaching methods to better meet the quality development requirements of junior high school students in the new era.At present, traditional teaching methods still dominate the teaching practice of junior high school history, which is not conducive to the quality development of students and is contrary to the requirements of the new curriculum standards. The survey found that although most students are interested in the subject of history, most junior high school history classes are ineffective, with teacher-student interaction being too formalised and the classroom atmosphere superficial. The task-driven teaching method is well known to junior high school history teachers, but is rarely used in history teaching practice.Research has found that the task-driven teaching method is difficult to design, inefficient in teacher-student interaction and difficult to manage in the classroom. In order to solve the problems of the task-driven teaching method in junior high school history teaching,we put forward the four aspects of "task" selection,"task" drive,"task" implementation, and "task" evaluation in a targeted manner,In order to solve the problems of teaching history in junior high school,we propose four teaching strategies: "task" selection,"task" drive,"task" implementation and "task" evaluation, and take the fifth lesson of the first book of the eighth grade,"Sino-Japanese War and Partition Frenzy",as an example,to carry out the teaching design and explore the effect of task-driven teaching applied to junior high school history teaching. The task-driven teaching method is a teaching mode guided by constructivism and the idea of "learning by doing",in which contextual tasks are set, implemented and evaluated in such a way that students learn independently and cooperate and investigate to complete the tasks under the guidance of teachers.Task-driven teaching meets the basic requirements of the new curriculum standards. In the context of deepening curriculum reform, the application of task-driven teaching method to junior high school history teaching is conducive to the comprehensive development of students and the interactive development of teachers and students.
