In the twenty major reports of the Party,it is clearly put forward that we should give priority to education development,self-reliance in science and technology,and improve the quality of personnel training in an all-round way.STSE education aims to connect subject knowledge with the development of science and technology,society and environment,guide students to apply subject knowledge to analyze and solve problems in STSE context,improve students’ scientific literacy and comprehensive practical ability,and is an effective way to cultivate comprehensive talents.In this study,STSE education is integrated into high school biology classroom teaching under the guidance of biology Curriculum Standards for general high school(2017 Edition,2020revision),in order to cultivate students’ core literacy of biology and STSE concept,and enrich high school biology teaching cases based on STSE education concept.The main research contents and results of this thesis are as follows:First,the literature research method is adopted to understand the theories,research status and achievements related to STSE education at home and abroad.It is found that STSE education has attracted the attention of many researchers at home and abroad in recent years,and various disciplines have carried out researches on STSE education successively,but the research on the teaching practice of STSE education in biology remains to be further strengthened.Second,survey and interview were conducted among some students and biology teachers in the middle school through questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the teachers and students’ understanding of STSE education concept and the implementation of STSE education in biology teaching.The results show that most students lack a systematic and comprehensive understanding of STSE education concept.The frequency of teachers consciously applying this concept in classroom teaching is not high,and the implementation status is not ideal.Thirdly,the content of STSE education that can be implemented in the textbook of Optional Compulsory Course 2 is sorted out and summarized,and a relatively complete set of high school biology teaching design process based on STSE education concept is constructed from the aspects of analyzing the textbook,characteristics of learners,formulating core literacy objectives,selecting teaching strategies,designing teaching activities and teaching evaluation.Under the guidance of front-line teachers and combined with the principles of implementing STSE education,part of the textbook chapters are selected to design teaching cases based on the STSE education concept.Fourth,use experimental research method to carry out teaching practice based on STSE education concept.Take the students in grade two of the internship school as the experimental objects,set up two groups of experimental classes and control classes,respectively using the teaching mode based on STSE education concept and conventional teaching mode.The teaching experiment results of one semester show that the students in the experimental class have significantly higher STSE awareness than those in the control class,and the students in the experimental class have been promoted in the aspects of learning interest in biology,critical thinking and ecological civilization concept.In conclusion,this study finds that integrating STSE education into high school biology teaching can effectively improve students’ STSE concept and interest in biology learning,exercise scientific thinking,enhance the awareness and ability of scientific inquiry,and help students form good social responsibility literacy.It also provides reference and reference teaching cases for practical biology teachers to carry out classroom teaching integrating STSE education in the future.
