With the deepening of the new round of national curriculum reform,algebra is regarded as the most important "threshold" to enter mathematics education,and the cultivation of students’ algebraic thinking has become the top priority in mathematics curriculum and teaching in primary school.However,the current primary school mathematics content is mainly arithmetic knowledge,there are still many difficulties and problems in algebra teaching and learning,it is difficult for students to smoothly transition from arithmetic thinking to algebraic thinking in a short time.Through the analysis of the human edition of primary school mathematics textbooks,it is found that the formal penetration of algebra knowledge begins in the fifth grade.Therefore,this paper starts from the current situation of algebraic thinking training of grade 5 and 6 students in primary school,summarizes the existing problems of algebraic thinking training and analyzes its causes,in order to put forward teaching strategies for the cultivation of algebraic thinking of senior students in primary school.First of all,on the basis of combing the relevant literature,summarize the connotation and theoretical basis of algebraic thinking.Then,this paper takes S Primary School in Jinan City,Shandong Province as the research object,and investigates the current situation of algebraic thinking training of some teachers and students in Grade 5 and 6 of the school by means of questionnaire and interview.Through the analysis of the survey results,it is found that there are some problems in the process of training students’ algebraic thinking,such as deviation of target orientation,unclear training content,simple training method and imperfect teaching evaluation.Secondly,this paper analyzes the causes of the above problems from the two aspects of teachers and students.The main reasons are that some teachers themselves are not high in algebra thinking ability,teachers’ interpretation of the textbook content is not in place,teachers’ cultivation of algebra thinking is limited under the influence of traditional education concepts,and students’ consciousness of independent development of algebra thinking is weak.Finally,aiming at the existing problems in the cultivation of algebraic thinking and combining with the characteristics of algebraic thinking of senior students in primary school,the optimization strategy of the cultivation of algebraic thinking is proposed.The first is to clarify the training goal of algebraic thinking,which is embodied in the ability of indexing algebraic thinking and conforming to the characteristics of students’ algebraic thinking.The second is to select appropriate algebraic thinking training content,including increasing the training of exploratory questions and paying attention to the selection of knowledge points highlighting functional thinking.The third is to innovate the training methods of algebraic thinking.The specific methods are to create situations,stimulate the interest of algebraic thinking,set up ingenious problems,strengthen the understanding of algebraic thinking,multiple representation,promote the development of algebraic thinking,comparative training and give play to the advantages of algebraic thinking.The fourth is to optimize the evaluation of algebraic thinking teaching,which mainly starts from two aspects: grasping the opportunity of evaluation and adopting diversified evaluation methods.
