| Games are an indispensable part of kindergarten education and life.When playing outdoor games and interacting with the surrounding environment,children can not only experience the fun brought by games,but also build up their physical skills accordingly.Outdoor independent games play a positive role in helping children form an indomitable will,raise the awareness of independent exploration,improve the ability of social communication,cultivate the consciousness of abiding by norms and so on,which are of great significance for children’s all-round development.This study aims to arouse teachers’ and educators’ attention to children’s perspective through exploring the characteristics of children’s favorite outdoor independent games.The study selected 60 children from the senior classes of H kindergarten as the subjects,took children’s talks,independent photography and painting as the research methods,sorted out and analyzed the original data collected through Nvivo12 Qualitative Analysis Software.The research results mainly include the following aspects: Firstly,children’s understanding of the concept of outdoor independent games mainly comes from the game materials,game autonomy,pleasure feeling that games bring to children,the significance of games to children’s own development and other aspects that children rely on to express their views.Secondly,children’s favorite types of outdoor independent games are sliding,drilling and climing,sand and soil,car,other,and building games in a row.The researchers summarized the characteristics of them from eight aspects: appearance,way to play,materials,space,safety,exploration,challenge and ability.Thirdly,the sequence of types of outdoor independent games that children dislike are other,drilling and climing,sand and soil,car,building and sliding games.The main reasons are as follows: limited ways to play makes children lose interest;insufficient or uncomfortable material,leads children to lack the opportunity to play;narrow space brings children poor game experience;the game is simple and not challenging;poor sanitary conditions;unsafe and physically uncomfortable games.Fourth,in the eyes of children,they tend to play with their peers.Some children like to play alone;children are eager for teachers to participate in the game.Fifth,children’s ideal outdoor independent games mainly features with two aspects: a variety of game materials and a new playing field.Therefore,it is crucial to increase the variety of game materials and set up a special playing field in the kindergarten with a special outdoor role playing field.In addition,since ball games are not fully explored,children want to have a special ball game court.According to the research results and analysis,relevant suggestions are put forward:flying-saucer slide(keep unchanged),sand games(expansion)to increase game materials and improve the game environment,drilling and climing games with safety barriers added,innovative ways to play;vehicle games to increase the number of vehicles and formulate game rules;drumming games to add moving materials and provide shared seating,building games to change game materials and solve game problems,planting zone to change area and open up excavation zone,teachers to,timely change the role according to the needs of the game,to increase the amount and variety of game materials,and to expand the playing field for outdoor character and ball games. |
