| The "Activity Inquiry" unit is an innovative unit set up in the unified textbook used since2017.It is based on the activity task list and takes practical activities as the carrier,fully reflecting the subjectivity of students.This article has conducted a survey and research on the "activity inquiry" unit teaching in eight middle schools in Dalian,and found that the current actual teaching cannot fully reflect the comprehensive and practical characteristics of the "activity inquiry" unit.This article has deeply explored the problems existing in the "activity inquiry" unit teaching,carefully analyzed the reasons,and put forward some teaching suggestions based on work experience.This article is divided into five parts.The first part of the introduction starts from four aspects: research background,research status,research significance,and research methods.It expounds the reasons for choosing this topic.Through collecting relevant research results and materials,it is found that the current research on "activity inquiry" unit teaching is not sufficient,and further in-depth research is still needed.The second part describes the basic situation of the "Activity Inquiry" unit.This chapter describes the setting basis,teaching content,and unit characteristics of the "Activity Inquiry" unit.The "Activity Inquiry" unit can fully implement students’ learning subjectivity and meet the development needs of middle school students,and the prominent time characteristics of the "Activity Inquiry" unit are conducive to students building their own knowledge system and specific and diverse guidance for teaching activities.The third part systematically analyzes the problems existing in the "activity inquiry" unit teaching.This article uses the method of questionnaire survey to conduct a systematic survey of eight junior high schools in Dalian City,and finds some common and specific problems in the teaching of the "activity inquiry" unit.Common problems include insufficient unit settings,ineffective unit practice teaching activities,activities that do not fully reflect the thematic characteristics of the unit,and insufficient emphasis on applied writing required by the unit;In the news unit,the explanation of "zero degree writing" is insufficient,while in the speech unit,too much emphasis is placed on reading teaching.In the poetry unit,the recitation and creative skills are not fully taught,and in the drama unit,experiential teaching is often ignored.The fourth part,combining work experience and a large number of teaching cases,analyzes the causes of the current situation of "activity inquiry" unit teaching from three aspects: teachers,textbooks,and students.The reasons for teachers are that teachers do not attach enough importance to units,lack teaching experience in carrying out such unit activities,and the existing evaluation system does not address the specificity of units;The reasons for teaching materials include that "activity exploration" is a new form of unit design,and the unit theme is not the focus of the exam;Students are accustomed to mechanical learning and have low interest in unit activities.The fifth part puts forward some teaching suggestions aimed at the problems existing in the current situation of "activity inquiry" teaching,including clarifying the overall teaching objectives of the unit,paying attention to the particularity of the unit theme in teaching design,and focusing on "students’ learning" in classroom teaching.Firstly,before teaching,it is necessary to clarify the overall activity task list of the "Activity Inquiry" unit,design the overall teaching ideas,select appropriate teaching methods,and prepare various teaching activities according to the activity task list.In the news unit,attention should be paid to news interviews,creating situations for students to truly participate;In the speech unit,more impromptu speeches should be carried out,focusing on training students’ thinking ability;The poetry unit should pay attention to the overall teaching,and recitation activities should run through the entire learning process of the poetry unit;The drama unit should guide the formation of a drama team,actively carry out stage performances,and allow students to fully demonstrate themselves.In the classroom teaching of this type of unit,it is necessary to fully mobilize students’ autonomous activity exploration,and teachers can provide timely and effective guidance and summary. |
