Objective: This paper compares and analyzes the different effects of asymmetric training and symmetric training on the balance ability of the students in the men’s football special class in sports colleges.Discuss and summarize two training methods, apply asymmetric training to football training in sports colleges and universities, provide reference for football coaches and football selective students to better carry out football special balance training in the future, and provide theoretical and practical basis for improving the balance ability of football players in sports colleges and universities and enhancing their sports performance.Research methods: This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature, expert interview, experiment and mathematical statistics. The experiment selected 28 students from the men’s football elective class of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education as the experimental subjects, all of whom were Grade II and above football players and had received systematic football special training for a long time.28 subjects were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 14 people in each group. The experimental group adopted asymmetrical training, while the control group adopted symmetrical training. The subjects of the two groups received training intervention for 8 weeks. Before and after the experiment, the indexes of closed eye single-foot support, closed eye standing,Y balance and short pass receiving and controlling ball reflecting the balance ability were tested.Collect the test data and use SPSS26.0 software for statistical analysis.Discuss the experimental result data by using independent sample T test between groups and paired sample T test within groups.Research Results:(1)After 8 weeks of training intervention, the experimental group and the control group showed extremely significant differences in the static balance ability index test(P<0.01).The left foot closed eye single foot support and the right foot closed eye single foot support of the experimental group increased by 31.95% and 47.02% respectively, while the left foot closed eye single foot support and the right foot closed eye single foot support of the control group increased by 8.35% and 8.65% respectively. The growth rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01).(2)The test group and the control group increased by 2.95% and 3.89% respectively in the test of the dynamic balance ability, but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).(3)The experimental group showed extremely significant differences in the Y balance test of the dynamic balance ability index(P<0.01),with the left comprehensive value, right comprehensive value and bilateral difference increased by 7.17%,2.61% and 80.39%respectively;The left comprehensive value and right comprehensive value of the control group in the Y balance test increased by 1.74% and 1.52% respectively, with significant difference(P<0.05),while other indicators had no significant difference(P>0.05).The growth rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01).(4)The experimental group showed extremely significant difference in the test of short pass and ball control in the special balance ability index(P<0.01),with an increase rate of 6.67%;The growth rate of the control group was 1.62%,with no significant difference(P>0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),and the experimental group was higher than the control group.Research conclusions:(1)Both asymmetrical training and symmetrical training for eight weeks and three times a week can significantly improve the performance of single-foot support with closed eyes of the students in the men’s football elective class in sports colleges, but there is significant difference between the two methods. The training effect of asymmetrical training is better than that of symmetrical training.(2)The asymmetrical training and symmetrical training for 8 weeks and 3 times a week have certain effects on improving the performance of the students in the selective class of men’s football in sports colleges, but there is no statistically significant difference.(3)After asymmetrical training and symmetrical training for 8 weeks and 3 times a week, the results of the Y-balance test of the two groups were significantly improved, but the results of the experimental group were better than those of the control group and there was a significant difference. At the same time, the asymmetry of the lower limbs in the experimental group was improved, which showed that compared with the traditional symmetrical training, asymmetrical training had a better effect on improving the dynamic balance ability, and could also improve the asymmetry of both sides of the limbs,Reduce the risk of potential sports injury.(4)After the asymmetrical training and symmetrical training for 8 weeks and 3 times a week, the results of short pass receiving and control in the experimental group were significantly improved, while the control group had no significant change, indicating that the asymmetrical training can effectively improve the dynamic balance ability of the students in the men’s football special class in sports colleges and universities, and thus enhance the sports performance.
