| Objective: This experiment mainly explores the effect of different lengths of kinesio tape on the proprioception of patients with chronic ankle instability and the changes in the kinematics and dynamics of the knee and ankle joint during the single-leg landing action.Through the comparison before and after taping, try to find out the optimal length of kinesio tape for chronic ankle instability, and provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for using kinesio tape to prevent and treat of chronic ankle instability. Methods: Fourteen patients with chronic ankle instability who met the inclusion criteria were selected in this study.Joint goniometer,Kistler dynamometer and Vincon threedimensional motion capture system were used to collect the average angle of active reduction error of passive positioning before and after intramuscular patch of different lengths, and the angle and angle change of 100 ms knee and ankle joint before single-leg landing. The biomechanical indexes such as the angle, angular velocity, angular change and torque of kneeankle joint after touching the ground,as well as the peak value of vertical ground reaction force and corresponding time and load rate. The collected data were processed by Visual 3D and sorted out by Excel form, and the statistical analysis was carried out in the statistical software SPSS26.The significant difference was determined as p<0.05.Results:(1)Proprioception: The error angle of passive positioning and active reset of ankle joint dorsiflexion 10° in the barefoot state was significantly higher than that in the middle and long contact states(p<0.05).The error angle of passive positioning and active reset of ankle joint plantarflexion 15° in the barefoot state was significantly higher than that in the middle and long contact states(p<0.01).(2)Kinematics of ankle joint: The angle of metatarsal flexion, the angle of metatarsal flexion and the maximum velocity of varus angle at the moment of 100 ms before touching the ground of ankle joint under middle and long patch were significantly lower than those in bare foot(p<0.05).The peak angle of ground dorsiflexion in bare foot was significantly lower than that in short patch(p<0.05),middle patch(p <0.05)and long patch(p<0.01).The maximum angular velocity of dorsiflexion in bare foot was significantly higher than that in short patch(p<0.01),middle patch(p<0.01)and long patch(p<0.01).(3)Knee joint kinematics: The peak flexion angle and sagittal plane ROM of knee joint under long contact condition were significantly higher than those in bare foot condition(p<0.05).(4)Dynamics:The peak value and load rate of vertical ground reaction in the long contact state are significantly lower than those in the bare foot state. However, there was no significant difference in the peak time of vertical ground reaction force and the peak torque of knee-ankle joint before and after bandage(p>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Middle and long tapes can improve ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion position sense in patients with CAI.(2)During the single-leg landing action, the middle and long tapes reduced the plantarflexion angle of the ankle joint and the maximum varus angular velocity of the ankle joint when it touched the ground. The three length kinesio tapes all increased the peak dorsiflexion angle and reduced the maximum Dorsiflexion rate. These may reduce the load on the lateral ligaments of the ankle.(3)Long tape can increase the peak flexion angle of the knee joint, which may help the lower limbs to cushion the landing and reduce the impact caused by the ground reaction force. These may have certain significance for the prevention of lower limb injuries in CAI patients. |
