Research On Xi Jinping’s Views On Universities

Throughout the past and the present,education,especially higher education,ha s always been the focus of people at home and abroad.It shoulders the mission of promoting the development of history,and also carries the good expectations of mankind for the future.It is a force that cannot be ignored in the development and progress of human society.People of the CPC in different historical periods all attach great importance to the summary of higher education thoughts.As the core of the Party’s leadership in the new era,Xi Jinping has also made a series of innovative and developmental discussions and arrangements for universities,which have played a programmatic role in guiding the healthy and sustainable development of current Chinese higher education.Today,as China moves towards the second century goal and strives to promote Chinese path to modernization,an in-depth study of Xi Jinping’s concept of university will help clarify the development context of the Party’s century old ideals and goals of higher education,help run higher education to the satisfaction of the people,realize the connotative development of higher education,and move towards a strong country in higher education.This study mainly uses the methods of literature analysis,dialectical analysis,historical research and interdisciplinary research to systematical ly sort out and comprehensively grasp the formation basis,main content,theoretical characteristics and era value of Xi Jinping’s university view in multiple levels,aspects and dimensions.Firstly,the analysis of the basis for the formation of Xi Jinping’s university view focuses on four main lines,it takes Marxism’s classic writers and the sinicized Marxism of Marxism,Friedrich Engels,Vladimir Lenin,Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao as its “Foundation”,the five practical experiences of the Communist Party of China in running universities on the Chinese mainland as its “Source”,the ideas of universities in the Chinese fine traditional culture as “Practical application”,“Lide anbang”,“Harmony but difference” as its“Root”,and the common achievements of the higher education civilization of human society as “Academic freedom” and “Scientific spirit” as its “Inspiration”,the concept of university is inherited and developed on the basis of all-round consideration of ancient and modern,Chinese and foreign,theory and practical experience.Secondly,the content of Xi Jinping’s concept of university involves various aspects.In studying this issue,the paper puts forward a theoretical analysis framework of the concept of university,around the five fundamental questions of how to run a university,what to do,why to run a university,what kind of university to run,and how to run a university,the main contents of Xi Jinping’s university view are condensed into five aspects: the view of key status,the view of comprehensive values,the view of multiple missions,the view of characteristic quality and the view of coordinated development.Thirdly,when studying the theoretical characteristics of Xi Jinping’s view of university,the important method of dialectical analysis in Marxist materialist dialectics is used to treat the characteristics of things in two,and it is believed that Xi Jinping’s view of university is full of distinctive features,such as the integration of local and world,the complementarity of tradition and modernity,and th e unity of theory and practice.Finally,when studying The Times value of Xi Jinping’s view of University,the particularity of Xi Jinping’s view of University as the latest achievement of socialist higher education thought and theory with Chinese characteristics is fully taken into account,and Xi Jinping’s view of University is considered from two perspectives of history and reality.It holds that Xi Jinping University view opens up a new realm of Marxist higher education thought,develops the higher education ideal,proposition and goal of the Communist Party of China,is the further deepening of the party’s understanding of higher education,and can continue the h istory and develop the history.At the same time,it provides guidance and value for China to build a high quality higher education system and realize the reform and development of higher education in China and the world.It can guide and transform the reality.
