Social emotion is an emotion that people acquire socially by forming connections with others and improving their behavior.It is also about learning to adjust and control one’s behavior to meet the needs of the whole group.Caring for others and promoting kindness and caring are integral to becoming a whole person.The development of social emotions shows its appropriate moral norms guidelines and is the ability of people’s subjective emotions and objective phenomena to coexist in a harmonious way.Emotion is a psychological phenomenon unique to human beings with a certain degree of social nature.And soccer has been widely carried out on campus,and its fierce confrontation characteristics are likely to cause students’ emotional fluctuations,and even verbal attacks and physical conflicts,better management of emotions can effectively reduce undesirable behavior.Middle school campus soccer team students are at a certain stage of development,with certain ups and downs in their physical and psychological development,so the social-emotional aspects of middle school campus soccer team students should be integrated throughout the training process.Therefore,by studying the social-emotional characteristics of junior high school campus soccer team students in Xi’an,analyzing the internal and external causal factors that lead to them,and proposing cultivation strategies for the development of soccer training,we propose a reference for promoting the social-emotional development of soccer team students.This study was conducted to investigate the social-emotional characteristics of junior high school campus soccer team students and their cultivation strategies in eight schools participating in the Xi’an Youth Campus Soccer League.The main research methods include literature,psychological measurement,interview,fieldwork,and mathematical statistics,etc.The social-emotional status and characteristics of junior high school campus soccer team students were analyzed by the social-emotional scale(six dimensions),and the collected data information was analyzed by descriptive statistics and demographic variables,and the results of the study showed that:(1)The current social-emotional situation of junior high school campus soccer team students in Xi’an is generally well developed,but the development of the six dimensions is unbalanced,specifically in the highest level of development of self-cognition,the second highest level of self-management,collective management,collective cognition,and others’ cognition,and the lowest development of others’ management.(2)There were significant differences between being an only child,different family sources,athletic level,grade level,athletic level,and years of athletic experience and socio-emotional characteristics,with only children having significantly higher socio-emotional characteristics than non-only children;urban students having higher socio-emotional characteristics;starters having significantly higher socio-emotional characteristics than substitutes;junior grade students having higher socio-emotional characteristics with age;Division I athletic level students had significantly higher socioemotional characteristics than Division II athletes and students below Division II athletes;students with more than 5 years of athletic experience had significantly higher socioemotional characteristics than students with3-5 years and less than 5 years.(3)The internal factors contributing to the socio-emotional characteristics include insufficient ability to think differently about peers,strong motivation and perseverance,insufficient sense of collective belonging,and insufficient peer relationships and conflict resolution in training;the external factors include the coaches’ emphasis on training performance and goals,the homogeneity of the training environment,insufficient understanding of students’ individual differences,and insufficient communication between coaches and students,and students and students.Inadequate communication between coaches and students and students.This study proposes cultivation strategies to improve the social emotions of students in junior high school soccer teams in Xi’an.To build positive interpersonal relationships and self-confidence,to develop a sense of responsibility and good communication skills,to develop team cohesion and increase the sense of empathy,to guide the development of positive emotions and transform negative emotions,to develop physical and mental abilities together during training,to make use of their own strengths and to help each other.
