Study On Inheritance And Development Of Tianqi Stick In Urumqi,Xinjiang

The Tianqi stick,also known as “Hezhou stick” and “Weijia stick”,which is popular in Urumqi,Xinjiang,originated in Linxia,Gansu,and is an important part of the stick art in northwest China.It is praised as the "crown of the West stick" in the martial arts community,because of its flexible,ingenious,fast and hidden method conversion,as well as the unique techniques of changing hands and adjusting handles and hitting both ends.At the beginning of the Republic of China,due to the influence of social,political,economic and other factors,a large number of people in Gansu and other places continued to move into Xinjiang.It was during this period that the Tianqi Stick was introduced into Xinjiang along the northern route.Although it was spread,the practice scale was relatively scattered and a relatively systematic inheritance system has not been formed.Until the 1970 s,teacher Fang Ruji,the fifth generation successor of Tianqi Stick,brought Tianqi stick from his hometown Linxia into Urumqi,Xinjiang,there were hundreds of scholars,who officially inherited and popularized Tianqi stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang,and gained extensive dissemination and development.However,with the rapid development of the current era of social informatization and the accelerated transformation of urbanization construction,as well as the strong impact of foreign cultures on our local traditional culture under the background of globalization,the inheritance and development of Tianqi Stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang is facing a severe test.This study takes the inheritance and development of the Tianqi Stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang as the research object,and uses the research methods of literature,field survey,expert interview and questionnaire to conduct in-depth research on the regional background,origin pedigree,style characteristics,era value,development status and other aspects of the inheritance Tianqi Stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang.And through the analysis of the Tianqi stick in the process of inheritance and development of the existing problems,combined with the actual situation and put forward the corresponding development strategy.After a series of investigation and research,the following conclusions are finally reached:(1)The inheritance of Tianqi stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang is orderly and complete.Its inheritance contents mainly include the inheritance of techniques and values,and the inheritance methods include the apprentices inheritance and modern inheritance.(2)The inheritance of Tianqi stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang is not optimistic.The content of its inheritance is gradually shrinking.There is a serious shortage of martial arts practitioners with the purpose of inheriting and continuing stick technique,and the number of people who fully master stick technique is also very small,and its inheritance is facing many difficulties.(3)In recent years,as the country vigorously advocates the national fitness campaign,the number of people participating in physical exercise has increased significantly.Tianqi Stick practitioners use various fields and forms to interact martial arts,which also increases the opportunity to show more to the public,and ushered in a new development opportunity for Urumqi Tianqi Stick.But there are still some problems restricting its development.(4)At present,the development predicament of Tianqi Stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang mainly comes from the following four aspects:First,the inheritance area is limited and the inheritance environment is poor;Second,the lack of national traditional cultural consciousness is weakened;Third,the social environment changes and the loss of inheritance faults;Fourth,there are differences with the development needs of modern martial arts.Based on the above research results,the author puts forward the following countermeasures combined with the actual situation:(1)Optimize the inheritance efficiency and broaden the inheritance path.Adopt multiple measures to broaden the channels of publicity,improve public awareness and expand social influence.(2)Attach importance to inheritance and protection and conform to social development.Adopt the protection mechanism of combining dynamic and static to carry out the protection work for the Tianqi Stick in Urumqi,Xinjiang.(3)Innovation does not lose its essence,and development does not change its quality.Adhere to the continuation of inheritance as a necessary prerequisite,with innovation and development as an inevitable requirement,focus on developing its spiritual value of“educating people with martial arts”.(4)Build a scientific system and improve training methods.Emphasizing the combination of theory and practice,using scientific theory system to guide training practice activities.
