According to the characteristics of middle and long distance running events,combined with the training characteristics of Sunshine Group middle and long distance runners,an 8-week combination training plan and a single training plan were designed.Compared the effect of 8-week combination training and traditional single training on the physical quality and special performance of the middle and long distance runners in the Sunshine Group in colleges and universities,explore the value of combination training method in the training of the middle-distance runners in the Sunshine Group in colleges and universities,expand training thinking,enrich training methods,and put forward suggestions according to the research results.This paper used the methods of literature,questionnaire,mathematical statistics,expert interview,experiment research methods.The subjects of this experiment were20 freshmen to junior students from Henan University of Economics and Law.The experimental group was trained for 8 weeks in combination training,while the control group was trained for a single routine training.At the end of the experiment,the special performance and physical fitness indicators measured before and after the experiment were analyzed and discussed: 1000 m run,400 m running,100 m running,one minute sit-ups,one minute push-ups,resting heart rate.Design a combination training method suitable for the middle and long distance runners in the Sunshine Group of colleges and universities.The research results:(1)After the 8-week experiment,the indexes of 1000 meters running and one-minute sit-ups of athletes in the experimental group were significantly higher than those before the experiment(P<0.05).The experimental group showed varying degrees of improvement in 100 m running,400 m running,one minute push-ups,and resting heart rate indicators,but not significant(P>0.05).(2)After the 8-weeks experiment,the six physical fitness test indexes of the control group athletes also improved in different degree,but not significant(P>0.05).(3)After the 8-week experiment,the six physical fitness indexes of the athletes in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group.There were significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the three indexes of 1000 m run,400 m run and resting heart rate(P<0.05),and there were very significant difference in the index of one-minute sit-ups(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference in the index of 100-meter run and one-minute push-ups(P>0.05).(4)After the 8-week experimental intervention,the special performance of the athletes in the experimental group and the control group has been improved in varying degree,and the improvement range of the special performance of the athletes in the experimental group is higher than that in the control group,showing a very significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusions:(1)Compared with the control group,the experimental group has a greater improvement in various indicators before and after the experiment,with a more obvious effect,indicating that combination training has a positive effect on improving the physical fitness of middle and long distance runners in the Sunshine Group.(2)The improvement of athletes’ special performance in the experimental group is significantly better than that in the control group,which shows that the combination training method can coordinate the development of athletes’ multiple physical qualities,effectively help athletes to play the overall training effect and improve the special sports performance.(3)Compared to using a single training method for training,the long-distance track and field teams in the Sunshine Group of universities are more suitable for implementing a combination training method.
