As the second largest economy in the world,China’s economy has entered a period of high quality development.Human capital is closely related to higher education,so the local economic development requires more undergraduates who can transform professional knowledge and skills to work abilities. The college enrollments has been expanding for the past two decades, and as a part of the employed population in new urban areas, the proportion of college graduates has also increased rapidly while the quality of college talent cultivation is facing a downward pressure, therefore the construction of a high-quality undergraduate teaching system has become an important aim.In addition,China has embarked on the road of transformation from a large manufacturing country to a powerful manufacturing country, and the local industrial chains need more applied talents with certain theoretical and practical capabilities. In order to resolve the contradiction between the employment of college graduates and the demand for human resources of local industrial chains, and to optimize the allocation of educational resources,China has adopted a series of education transformation policies to guide local colleges and universities to transform into application-oriented ones,by encouraging the integration of industry and education, and adjusting the specialty settings around the industrial chains,to form the clusters of characteristic majors. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the in-depth cooperation of the clusters of characteristic majors in application-oriented universities with the local industrial chains’ talent training mode in the process of institutional change.Since it is the responsibility of application-oriented universities to train talents and serve the community, this theses reviews the literature and development trends of industry-education integration talent training mode at home and abroad, discusses the disadvantages and its causes of the talent training mode of industry-education integration that focuses on the construction of characteristic majors clusters, and based on the investigation cases, corresponding measures are put forward to improve the quality of the application-oriented talent training. The theses is divided into seven parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the background and significance of the research, domestic and foreign research reviews, contents and research methods. The second part expounds the related concepts and theoretical basis of the integration of production and education talent training mode, and introduces the theory of organization cooperation,ability-based education theory and the triple helix mode. The third part introduces the development process and status, the shortage and its causes of the training mode of application-oriented talents in China. The fourth part based on the theories and status, constructs a dual system-three factors research framework to analyze the causes of the problems. The dual parts includes the application-oriented universities and the local industry chains, which are the main bodies of talent supply and demand;the three factors include application-oriented curriculum system, teaching process and method, regulation guarantee and innovation environment. The fifth part introduces the in-depth cooperation between Fujian Jiangxia University’s clusters of characteristic majors with the local industry chains, which is conducted within the dual system-three factors research framework. In order to conduct researches on the cooperation, questionnaires were sent out to students of characteristic majors, and interviews have been done with college faculties and enterprise staffs. The sixth part discusses the development process of University of Applied Sciences and the dual system talent training mode in Germany, and its enlightenment to the counterpart in China. The seventh part expounds the basic ideas of the talent training mode of characteristic majors in the application-oriented universities, and their in-depth cooperation with the local industry chains based upon the dual system-three factors research framework,in order to propose countermeasures and suggestions for reforming and optimizing the talent training mode in clusters of characteristic majors with the in-depth cooperation between application-oriented universities and the local industrial chains. |
