| Women’s body anxiety is one of the most discussed issues in recent years.However,academics and the public are divided on the impact of social media on women’s body satisfaction.Therefore,this paper focuses on understanding and solving the impact of the use of social media on the physical and mental health of female college students.In this study,questionnaires are used as the main method,and in-depth interviews are used as the auxiliary method.The scope of SOR model is expanded,and body satisfaction is regarded as the mediating factor.It is found that female college students’ body satisfaction has a mediating effect on the use of social media and subjective well-being.Specifically,this paper studies female college students’ social media use behavior,and finds that the real and positive presentation of social media has a positive impact on physical satisfaction;Social media body talk has a negative impact on body satisfaction;Body satisfaction has a positive effect on subjective well-being;BMI has a positive effect on body satisfaction.In addition,the study finds that multi-source subjects,including social gender culture and comparative culture,brings certain psychological pressure to women,especially on social media.Women’s body self-discipline through social media reduces their body satisfaction and subjective happiness.Therefore,the study not only deeply analyzes the logic behind the influence chain,deduces the importance of physical and gender liberation and aesthetic diversity,but also suggests that multiple subjects explore how to use social media actively. |
