| In recent years, the importance of innovation is increasingly obvious.Universities is the important innovation engine in the city, and high-tech enterprises play an important role in innovation and development.Combining universities and high-tech enterprises will vigorously promote urban economic development and improve the urban innovation capability.Forming favorable spatial coupling relationship between high-tech enterprises and universities can provide positive conditions for their coordinated development. This paper analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of universities and high-tech enterprises in Nanjing and studies the spatial coupling between universities and high-tech enterprises, which is of great practical significance for promoting the further development of Nanjing’s urban innovation space and realizing the goal of building an innovative city as soon as possible.Based on the theory and case research, processing the data of Nanjing university land use and high-tech enterprises POI,the study analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of universities and high-tech enterprises in Nanjing with the methods of average the adjacent analysis and kernel density analysis. With the methods of data grid and double factors graphics, this study analyzes the space coupling relationship and the characteristics of universities and high-tech enterprises, and put forward optimization suggestions to solve the existing problems.Four conclusions can be drawn from the study: first, the spatial distribution type of university is agglomeration distribution, and the scale of land use is large in the urban fringe while small in the center and outer suburbs. The spatial location of universities is concentrated in three areas, while the scale of land use is concentrated in two university towns. The spatial distribution type of high-tech enterprises is also agglomeration distribution, which is distributed in circles outside the old city and gathers in high-tech parks. The agglomeration areas and centers of enterprises in different high-tech fields are different in number and separated from each other in location.Second, there is a coupling relationship between universities and high-tech enterprises in spatial distribution.Thirdly, the key development areas of "one, main and three sub-areas" determined in the master plan have higher coupling degree, which conforms to the law of knowledge spillover, while other areas have lower coupling degree.Fourthly,in the future, the high coupling region can be improved by exploiting regional innovation advantages and strengthening policy incentives and guidance. The coupling degree of the middle coupling region can be improved by increasing regional accessibility and coordinating the spatial layout of high-tech parks and universities. For low-coupling regions, some high-tech enterprises should be transferred to form characteristic industrial clusters while supporting the development of relevant industries, protecting characteristic landscapes and strengthening the government guidance to establish close cooperation between schools and enterprises. |
