Retirement adjustment refers to the appropriate psychological and behavioural changes that occur in older people as their social roles,life content and norms change after retirement.Some people will experience discomfort and dissonance with the sudden change in their lives.For those who are unable to adapt to such changes and are in distress,social workers can provide services tailored to the problems and needs of the caseworker.In this study,the target group is retired female workers,and the main focus of the study is on their adjustment to retirement,i.e.to address the maladjustment of retired female workers after retirement due to the change of role and living place,which can be classified as women’s social work.The study found that during the retirement adjustment phase,some people may suffer from psychological imbalance due to the discrepancy between their actual life situation and their expectations,resulting in psychological problems such as low self-esteem,depression and anxiety.On this basis,it is of theoretical and practical significance to conduct an in-depth study on the retirement adjustment of female workers in enterprises.This study takes retired female workers in a community in Xinglongtai District,Panjin City,Liaoning Province as the main subject of the study,and collects relevant information through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews.In this study,we use case work to examine the needs of retired female community workers.Based on this,this study uses a case-work approach to provide targeted activities for three categories of clients to help them view the impact of retirement rationally and objectively and adapt to their new lives as soon as possible.The study uses the hierarchy of needs theory as the main theoretical framework,supplemented by social support theory and role theory,and aims to meet the actual needs of the clients.In the early stages of the intervention,the psychosocial treatment model is used to determine the procedures and methods of service delivery,and to design intervention plans and anticipate contingencies.During the intervention process,the client’s family,friends and relatives are indirectly intervened with,in addition to the client himself,to help him link up with relevant social resources and establish his own social network,thereby strengthening his own ability to cope with his problems.At the end of the intervention phase,the effects of the intervention are assessed using the appropriate scales,and the overall intervention process is summarised and reflected upon.Through a case-by-case social work approach to the social adjustment of retired women workers,we try to apply the concepts and values of social work to them,pay attention to the physical and mental health and family harmony of retired women workers,and provide practical experience and reference for social work intervention in related issues,and provide cases for women’s social work. |
