Cross-cultural competence occupies a pivotal position in the training system for undergraduate international students in China.Only by improving the cross-cultural competence of undergraduate international students in China can the quality of Chinese international student education be effectively improved and the successful creation of an influential Chinese overseas study brand.Cross-cultural competence includes three dimensions: cognition,emotion,and behavior.If you want to effectively improve the intercultural competence of international undergraduate students in China,you must analyze and explore these three dimensions separately and cultivate them.This research first sorts out the current situation of domestic and foreign research on cross-cultural competence through reading and collecting a large amount of literature.It mainly includes two parts,namely the theoretical research of cross-cultural competence and the research of cross-cultural competence evaluation.After clarifying the core concept of "intercultural competence" in cross-cultural communication,and clarifying its meaning and scope in this research,based on the Intercultural Communicative Competence Scale(ICCS)constructed by Arasaratnam,combined with the survey subjects "undergraduates in China" The characteristics of “international students” have been revised and reproduced into questionnaires applicable to undergraduate international students in China.Statistical analysis of the collected data is carried out by issuing and returning questionnaires.The survey results show that the overall intercultural competence of international undergraduates in China is at a good level;the influencing factors of intercultural competence include grade,gender,Chinese proficiency,length of time in China,length of time abroad before coming to China,frequency of exchanges with foreigners,major,whether Participated in crosscultural courses,and cultural circles do not constitute an influence.And the data analysis results prove that the same factor will have different effects on the three dimensions of cross-cultural competence.Secondly,the results of the questionnaire were verified through interviews,and the factors affecting the cross-cultural competence of international students in China were deeply explored and analyzed.Three typical cases were selected from the three dimensions of cross-cultural competence for content extraction and analysis.It was found that the cognitive and emotional impact factors constitute a circular system.If you want to improve the cross-cultural competence of undergraduate international students in China,you must Go,break the cycle.Finally,based on the research results,it puts forward targeted,constructive,and feasible suggestions and measures to improve the cross-cultural competence of international students in China,such as constructing a cross-cultural competence evaluation system for undergraduate international students in China,combining teaching theories and methods,and innovative teaching models.From the perspective of three dimensions of cross-cultural competence,this thesis investigates the actual level of cross-cultural competence of undergraduate international students in China,analyzes the influencing factors,and tries to find targeted methods and approaches to cultivate cross-cultural competence of undergraduate international students in China.To improve their cross-cultural competence,provide reasonable and effective suggestions for the training of foreign students in China and T University,improve the quality of foreign students training,and make foreign students have a better experience of studying in China.
