ituational teaching is an important carrier of cultivating geographical core literacy.2017 version of the geography curriculum standard emphasizes the students familiar with the local teaching material,advocate the problem set,depending on the situation of classroom teaching traditional teaching often out of the situational teaching,cause the core geographic literacy is hard to fall to the ground,how to get the local material and the integration of geographical situation teaching is the important domain of geography teaching to explore.The purpose of this study is to make use of local materials to teach geographical situation and cultivate students’ geographical core literacy.In order to improve the application effect of local materials in high school situational geography teaching,this study sorted out the concept and characteristics of local materials and geographical situational teaching through literature research,and analyzed the integration approach and significance of local materials and geographical situational teaching.Through the questionnaire survey method to understand the current situation of high school geography teaching based on local materials,analysis of the existing problems;In view of the existing problems,the principles and steps of high school geography teaching design based on local materials are put forward,and the case design is carried out.Through the empirical research to test the effect of high school geography teaching based on local materials.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Through the questionnaire survey,the following problems are found: teachers do not generally apply situational teaching in geography class;Some teachers do not have a deep understanding of local materials;Students’ ability to apply what they learn needs to be improved;The situational teaching method experienced by students is relatively single.(2)In view of the problems in the process of using local materials for geography teaching,the principles and steps of teaching design based on local materials for senior high school geography teaching are proposed under the guidance of relevant theories.The principles of teaching design are as follows: The selection of local materials should be conducive to the achievement of teaching objectives;The selection of local materials should pay attention to the differences of regional scale;The design of learning activities should highlight students’ subjectivity;The situation creation in teaching design should embody interest and so on.The steps of teaching design are as follows: according to the course standard,teaching materials and learning situation,the selection of local materials;Processing local materials and presenting local situations;Combined with the local context,set up the problem chain;Assign situational tasks and carry out exploratory activities;Teaching evaluation runs through the learning process and the evaluation subject is diversified.Develop extra-curricular practice activities to cultivate geographical practice ability.At the same time,the teaching case of Agricultural location factors and their changes was designed based on the principles and steps of teaching design.(3)In the achievement verification stage,the teaching practice of the designed teaching case is carried out.Through the comparison of the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental class and the control class,it is found that the experimental group’s scores are significantly higher than those of the control group after the teaching experiment;Through the questionnaire survey and interview,it is found that situational teaching with local materials can stimulate their interest in learning and desire for knowledge,and help them understand geographical concepts,principles and laws,improve students’ regional cognition,comprehensive thinking and geographical practice ability,and cultivate students’ feelings of home and country.It shows that the principles and steps of teaching design of high school geography situation based on local materials are reasonable to some extent.
