The physical and mental development of preschool children(3-6 years)play an essential role for their lifespan development,which affect various of aspects such as physical and mental health,academic achievement and social adaptation.Parent rearing style serves as a significant environmental factor for preschool children’s physical and mental health.Applying scientific and tailored parent rearing style has been become a common needs and targets.It is a basic and premise work to constructing large-scale fundamental data base which can provide important reference for family education and clinical intervention,and offer strong support for theoretic and practical innovation.Based on the big data of the research project of preschool education development in Guangxi,this study selected the development assessment of preschool children and the family rearing style to analyze the characteristics and rules of 320,425 parents’ mental and physical development and rearing style of preschool children in Guangxi.Using the psych in the statistical software RStudio,Descriptive statistical analysis,t test,variance analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis are used to analyze and visualize the data,to explore the distribution characteristics and relationship between the physical and mental development and parenting styles of preschool children in Guangxi.The study found:1.The five dimensions of physical and mental development of preschool children have good overall development,among which the dimensions of inquiry and cognition,aesthetic feeling and performance score the highest;In each dimension of preschool children’s physical and mental development,there are significant gender differences in language and communication,beauty and performance,and it has practical significance.There are significant differences between urban and rural areas in exploration and cognition,and it has practical significance.In health and physical fitness,there are significant grade differences,and has practical significance;In the exploration and cognition,there are significant grade differences,and has practical significance.2.In terms of parenting style,parents of preschool children in Guangxi are more inclined to respect,accept,encourage and democratic positive parenting style;There are significant differences between urban and rural areas in respect & humiliation,incentive& punishment and democratic & autocracy dimensions,which have practical significance.The protective & rudeness dimension has significant gender difference,and has practical significance.3.There is significant correlation between the physical and mental development of preschool children in Guangxi and the parenting style.Positive parenting style is significantly positively correlated with the physical and mental development of preschool children,while indulgence & control is significantly negatively correlated with the physical and mental development of preschool children.4.The positive parenting style can significantly positively predict the physical and mental development of preschool children,and the regression coefficient of motivation is the highest in the five dimensions of physical and mental development,followed by respect and acceptance,followed by democracy,and protection and indulgence negatively predict the physical and mental development of preschool children.According to the above research conclusions,suggestions are put forward in the aspects of home co-parenting,parenting style,state and society: advocate harmonious family environment,strengthen home co-parenting to promote children’s physical and mental development;Encouragement is the most conducive to the physical and mental development of preschool children,while indulgence is the most harmful to the physical and mental development of children,we should strengthen the management of preschool children in the encouragement and incentive;There are significant differences between urban and rural areas in the physical and mental development of school-age children.The state and society should strengthen the investment in rural education. |
