| Rafael Nadal is the first man to win more Grand Slams than any other professional tennis player.Since turning pro in 2001,Nadal has had an amazing career in professional tennis,winning 22 Grand Slams and 28 Masters tournaments.He won the French Open again in 2022 for the 14 th time in his career and became the first double champion at the same Grand Slam tournament in tennis history,also known as the "King of clay." In view of this,it is necessary to make a statistical analysis of Nadal’s application of skills and tactics in the 2022 French Open and explore the key factors for his victory,so as to provide references for Chinese men’s tennis players in training and competition.This paper will analyze the technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal in the 2022 French Open through video observation,comparative analysis,literature,mathematical statistics,logical analysis and other research methods,so as to provide training samples for Chinese professional male tennis players and help them play better in the competition.The analysis draws the following conclusions:1.Technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal(1)Serve: The first serve and the second serve have good stability.The left inner corner of the first serve occupies the highest proportion,followed by the right outer corner;Second,the left area accounted for the highest chasing ratio,followed by the right area of the inner corner;The outside corners are the least.(2)Serve reception: forehand serve reception,return line mainly with large diagonal;Backhand hair,mainly with large diagonal,small diagonal alternate.The highest scoring rate of receiving line is the big slash line,followed by the small slash line,and finally the straight line.In the inside corner of the service,with a small diagonal return,return the depth of the ball for the middle.Middle serve,return with a large slash line,return the depth of the ball for the middle.Outside corner service,with a large diagonal return,return depth is mainly medium and deep.(3)Interception,high pressure,ball placement: interception frequency increases,scoring rate is high,and interception points are mainly concentrated on the left and right sides of the middle front court.The use of high pressure ball frequency is low,the scoring rate is high,the high pressure drop point is concentrated in the middle front court.The ball is less frequent,the scoring rate is higher,and the ball is concentrated around the middle and front court.(4)Forehand and backhand: The use ratio of these two techniques is relatively stable.Steady backhand,relatively steady service,the use of large and small oblique line to return the ball,will not change the original trajectory,reduce their own return error rate,enhance their own return stability,long trajectory,can create favorable conditions for their next return.When the opponent’s second serve is not fast,he should actively go to the net,look for opportunities,make full use of his own technical and tactical advantages,in the process of multiple strokes,not only to maintain stability,but also to find flaws,hit the winner,disrupt the rhythm of the opponent,which is conducive to the implementation of their own follow-up tactics and strategies.(3)In the aspects of small ball,high pressure and interception,combined with the technical and tactical characteristics of myself,flexibly use the three technologies of putting,pressing and blocking to improve my technical depth and broaden my technical breadth.In the forward shot with forehand and backhand movement,when the opponent is off the end
