Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Function Of Political Education Of Campus Rituals In Colleges And Universities

Ritual is a unique practical activity of human society,a condensation of human civilization and a symbol of culture in the process of social development,as well as a higher level of human spiritual pursuit.Since ancient times,the Chinese people have a tradition of using rituals and ceremonies to educate people’s minds and regulate their behavior.Entering the new era,rituals have ushered in new opportunities in development,played the function of ideological education and injected new vitality into the ideological and political work of colleges and universities.Since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the role of rituals and ceremonies and standardized systems in the dissemination of mainstream values,emphasizing that "some ritual systems should be established and standardized,and various forms of commemorative celebrations should be organized to spread mainstream values and enhance people’s sense of identity and belonging." At present,college students are affected by many factors in terms of emotional morality,value code and national identity,and as the main position of moral education,colleges and universities should give full play to the function of campus rituals for political education,so as to cultivate the "new man of the times" who will advance into the new journey and build a new era.The research was conducted by drawing on the research results of the academia,using literature research method,questionnaire survey method,and multidisciplinary comprehensive research method.The research is divided into four parts: theoretical overview,current situation analysis and countermeasures research.Firstly,it explores the concepts related to the function of college campus rituals for political education,analyzes the connotation,characteristics and types of college campus rituals,the essence of the function of college campus rituals for political education,the theoretical sources of the study of the function of college campus rituals for political education,the function of college campus rituals for political education,and the elemental mechanism of the function of college campus rituals for political education,which provides the theoretical support for the following.Secondly,a survey was conducted on 1942 college students about the current situation of the function of campus rituals for political education in colleges and universities,and through the survey and analysis,we learned that the problems existed: the exhibition form of the function of campus rituals for political education in colleges and universities was not innovative enough;the guarantee mechanism of the function of campus rituals for political education in colleges and universities was not sound enough;the content of the function of campus rituals for political education in colleges and universities was old.On the premise of adhering to the problem-oriented approach,the reasons for the problems are analyzed,and it is proposed that the function of campus rituals in colleges and universities should be oriented to promote students’ all-round development,cultivate and practice the core socialist values,and cultivate the new man of the times who will take up the responsibility of national rejuvenation,and it should also adhere to the principle of taking students as the main body,the principle of keeping up with the times,and the principle of cultural education.Finally,the countermeasures to enhance the function of political education in college campus rituals are summarized,namely,to improve the relevant organizational design of political education function in college campus rituals;to change the concept of ritual education of college campus ritual organizers;and to integrate the resources of political education function in college campus rituals.
