The local novel is a kind of novel that describes the life of rural towns,has a strong local flavor and regional characteristics,contains the author’s local feelings,has the characteristics of the times and reality,and occupies an important position in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature.A total of six local novels were selected in the compilation of the senior high school Chinese Textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education.These local novels can not only bring students rich aesthetic experience,but also help students understand the local conditions and customs of the Chinese nation and stimulate cultural self-confidence.Therefore,this paper takes the unified compilation of local novels in high school language as the research object,tries to explore the reading teaching strategies of local novels on the basis of the analysis of the teaching status and causes of the unified compilation of local novels,enrich the current teaching research results,and provides certain references for the teaching of local novels in the front-line Chinese teachers in high school.The main body of the paper is as follows:The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the origin,significance,status and methods of the research,and defines the core concept "local novel" in the origin of the research.The second part is an overview.The first is to analyze the selection of local novels in senior high school languages,starting from the selection of text items and arrangement structure,to analyze the selection points,to clarify the selection of the situation.The second is to analyze the teaching value of local novels in the unified compilation of high school Chinese,mainly from the perspective of the core quality of Chinese.The third part is the analysis of the current teaching situation.The author analyzes the problems existing in the reading teaching of local novels in senior high school from the two aspects of student questionnaires and teacher interviews,and tries to summarize the causes of the problems.Through investigation,it is found that there are some problems in the teaching of local novels in senior high school,such as immobilized teaching content,simple teaching methods and superficial reading experience.These problems are mainly caused by teachers’ weak local awareness,ignoring the individual characteristics of students and texts,and ignoring students’ emotional participation.The fourth part is teaching strategy.In view of the problems existing in the reading teaching of local novels in senior high schools,based on the text characteristics and teaching value of the Chinese local novel,this paper puts forward specific strategies from three levels of teaching content,teaching methods and after-class extensions.In terms of teaching content,we should excavate local characteristics and integrate folk content.In terms of teaching methods,innovative teaching methods can be adopted,such as contacting local life,basing on local folk customs,carrying out comparative reading and exploring teaching resources.In the aspect of after-school development,students’ local emotion and learning interest can be stimulated through abundant after-school reading activities and school-based courses.The fifth part is teaching practice.Taking "Oh,Xiang Xue" as an example,the author tries to use the teaching strategy of the fourth part to expand the teaching design by three levels of teaching content,teaching method and after-class development,and reflects on the shortcomings of the teaching design to prove the effectiveness of the strategy.In a word,local novels contain rich excellent culture of the Chinese nation,which is an important material for students to enhance their cultural self-confidence and cultural identity.To carry out reading teaching with local novels as the object in high school Chinese teaching can help students to understand the folk customs and customs of different regions to a certain extent,and deepen students’ sense of identity with the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation,which is of great significance to the long-term development of students.
