| Drug abusers’ motivation to detoxify is considered to be an important factor affecting the rate of conduct and the effect of abstinence, and drug abuse not only endangers themselves, but also causes secondary harm that affects the benign operation of the family and even the whole society. The saying "once drug, lifelong drug withdrawal" in the drug abuse group leads abusers to have the illusion that drug rehabilitation is only carried out when it is not completed, and the idea that it is more difficult to quit drug addiction appears, but in fact drug abuse behavior is not impossible to quit. What this study attempts to explore is the effect of drug abusers’ motivation for drug withdrawal on withdrawal. In the case of more and more drug abusers successfully detoxification, what kind of motivation for detoxification is conducive to detoxification. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of drug abusers, summarize and sort out the motivation for drug rehabilitation under the three identities of "violator","victim" and"patient" with the help of identity motivation theory, and explore the influence of drug withdrawal motivation on them.To this end, this study is based on a purposeful sampling of drug abusers who have participated in peer activities in J institutions in Shanghai, using semi-structured in-depth interviews, and interviewing 12 drug abusers.Through the analysis of the interview text data and coding by theme analysis,it is concluded that the motivation of 12 drug abusers under different identity positioning presents the following characteristics:(1)The motivation of drug abusers to detoxify is dynamic and changes with the identity in different situations.Specifically, the motivation for drug rehabilitation under the identity of"violator" is a passive choice after the punishment is executed, the key to cognitive change is brought about by punishment and the national strike hard policy, and the motivation for drug rehabilitation under the positioning of violators will bring about behavioral changes in the process of coercion, but on the contrary, abusers are more often unable to truly realize the wrongness of abuse; The motivation for drug rehabilitation under the identity of "victim" is biased towards the consequences of personal abuse itself, especially the radiation harm caused by abuse to the people around them increases the remorse of drug addicts, and the power of subjective reflection and example promotes the transformation of their motivation for drug treatment; The motivation for drug rehabilitation under the identity of "patient" is more based on the medical perspective, which is a rational decision made by the subject considering the individual’s physical health and rehabilitation;(2)The motivation and identity content of drug abusers for drug abuse are dynamically changing. The identity of drug abusers varies according to the time and stage of withdrawal, and their positioning is inconsistent at different stages. In addition, identity changes due to changes in individual psychology, and abusers have multiple perceptions of their own identity;(3)The motivation for drug withdrawal under multiple identities is conducive to the withdrawal of drug abusers. The author tries to use different identity positioning to explore the motivation of abusers to quit and get certain conclusions, but from a comprehensive point of view, the single-identity drug treatment motivation lacks a strong and effective thrust for abusers, but the comprehensive identity positioning is conducive to abusers to get rid of drugs. In addition, the significance of drug treatment motivation research to anti-drug social work is discussed and related suggestions are put forward, which mainly includes three aspects:identifying identity in the situation and strengthening drug treatment motivation;Clarify the triple identity and gradually transform into a demander;Establish long-term services to promote social inclusion. |
