The Physics Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High Schools(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)condenses the core competencies of the subject,enabling students to form correct values through learning,possess necessary qualities and key abilities to handle unknown things and complex practical problems,and meet the educational value of the core competencies of the physics subject.Research has shown that primitive physics problems have important value in implementing and cultivating students’core literacy.However,designing primitive physics problems purely in homework is more difficult for students to solve.This article proposes a problem chains approach,mainly studying the possibility and effectiveness of primitive physics problem assignments based on problem chains in practice.Firstly,through literature research on problem chains,primitive physics problem,and homework design,the concepts of the three were defined,and the possibility of combining the three was proposed.The concept of Design of Homework for Primitive Physics Problem Based on Problem Chains and related concepts proposed in this study were defined,and the theoretical support of the recent development zone theory,scaffolding teaching theory,and self-organizing representation theory for this study was explained.Secondly,in order to scientifically propose the relevant theories of designing homework for primitive physics problem based on problem chains,educational experiments and survey research were conducted.Based on the analysis of pre test scores and questionnaire surveys of the experimental subjects,the experimental conditions were verified,and the design principles,strategies,and evaluation methods of designing homework for primitive physics problem based on problem chains were proposed.Finally,in order to verify the feasibility of the theory,a three-month teaching intervention was conducted on the experimental class through educational experiments,interviews,and questionnaire surveys.After listing four comparative case interviews and conducting longitudinal and horizontal statistical analysis of the pre and post tests,the following conclusion was drawn:the designing homework for primitive physics problem based on problem chains can improve students’ grades and develop their problem-solving abilities,but it does not show any significance.The study also found that this type of homework has advantages in improving the quality of primitive physics problem assignments,cultivating interest in physics learning,and achieving homework education.It is favored by most students,but there are also some shortcomings.Targeted teaching suggestions and research prospects are proposed.
