Private College Students’ Interest Expression Problem And Its Improvement Strategies

With the progress of society and the development of higher education,college students’ subject consciousness has been constantly improved,and their demands for their own rights and interests have become increasingly strong,and they also pay more attention to the channels and effects of interest expression.However,there are still many problems and shortcomings in the institutional guarantee of interest expression for college students in China,such as blocked channels,irregular procedures,untimely feedback,incomplete relief,etc.,which affect the realization and maintenance of student interests.Private colleges and universities,as an important part of higher education,have certain particularities in their school construction,such as limited school autonomy,weak faculty,poor quality of students,inexperienced management team,etc.,which bring more difficulties and challenges to student interest expression.Therefore,studying the problems and improvement strategies of student interest expression in private colleges and universities has important theoretical and practical value for promoting the healthy development of private colleges and universities,safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of students in private colleges and universities,and improving the satisfaction and happiness of students in private colleges and universities.This paper uses Marx’s theory of rights,Marx’s theory of interests and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,and adopts research methods such as questionnaire survey and interview method to analyze the problems of student interest expression in private colleges and universities in depth,and puts forward targeted management measures and improvement strategies.After presenting the current situation of student interest expression in private colleges and universities through empirical investigation and analyzing it in depth,this paper finds the following problems of student interest expression in private colleges and universities,mainly including: the contradiction between strong expression consciousness and weak expression ability of students,the negative confrontation expression mode of students can not be ignored,the poor effect of student participation in school management,the intestinal obstruction problem of interest expression acceptance channel,the procedural absence of school interest expression,the timeliness and sufficiency of demand feedback are lacking.Then,through theoretical analysis and empirical test,this paper argues that the reasons for the problems of student interest expression in private colleges and universities include: the lack of clear description about interest expression in university management regulations,the lack of specialized student rights protection supervision institutions,the insufficient power of student organizations,poor construction,the lack of awareness training for student interest expression by schools,and the imperfect construction of digital communication platform for schools.Finally,this paper also puts forward some strategies to improve the problems of student interest expression in private colleges and universities,mainly including: improving the description of student interest expression in university charter and management regulations,improving the normative procedures of interest expression,reforming student organizations,simplifying administration and decentralizing power,establishing a sound interest expression training mechanism,establishing a sound online interest expression platform and online interest appeal supervision mechanism.
