| Reading is one of the important ways for people today to obtain information about studying and working.For foreign Chinese learners,reading can quickly improve their Chinese level.This paper designs a teaching scale of reading strategies with verified reliability and validity,investigates the use of Chinese reading strategies by students in Gowen Middle School in Myanmar,studies the influence of different genders on the adoption of Chinese reading strategies,concludes the most suitable Chinese reading strategies for Myanmar middle school students,and designs a set of methods to train their Chinese reading strategies,so as to improve their Chinese reading ability and improve their Chinese learning.The study combined the "Fifty Reading Strategies of Oxford University" with the actual learning situation of secondary school students in Myanmar,and then analyzed the questionnaire using professional statistical software.According to the survey results,students at Myanmar Gowen Middle School use more language learning and strategies in the learning process,such as using reference books to read and check,and also using their mother tongue to understand more difficult sentences.For them to use less metacognitive strategies,such as planning,monitoring,regulation,etc.,they use less,which affects their efficient and rapid understanding of the article.From the perspective of gender,girls in Guowen Middle School prefer to use attention strategies,while boys use less thinking strategies and language processing strategies,and boys tend to ignore the background context of the article and the author’s thoughts and feelings during the reading process.In addition,among Myanmar secondary school students,guessing context,soliciting opinions,and creating a learning environment are effective Chinese reading strategies,while predictive strategies that influence their Chinese reading are reference book use,mother tongue use,review,and reading aloud.The study also found that language use strategies are quite popular among Myanmar secondary school students,but there are large differences in the use of language use strategies among students,and girls have better language strategies than boys.Finally,this paper discusses the enlightenment and significance of this paper on Chinese reading strategies,and summarizes some Chinese reading strategy training methods suitable for Myanmar middle school students on the basis of the previous data collection,collation and analysis,in order to improve their Chinese reading situation and enhance their enthusiasm for Chinese learning. |
