Research On Cultivating Chinese Sports Spirit Among Contemporary College Students

The 18 th Party Congress officially proposed building socialist core values and made it a way to promote the national spirit,clearly stating,"The whole nation should pay attention to the promotion of the spirit of the times and the national spirit,and vigorously carry out education on socialism,collectivism and patriotism,so that people have a clearer goal to strive for as well as abundant spiritual power." In the process of continuous development of the Chinese nation,the unique Chinese sports spirit was bred,and also the sports spirit summarized and condensed in the history of sports practice,as well as a national spirit generated in the process of development of the Chinese nation.Chinese sports spirit is an important part of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on sports,which is extremely instructive for promoting national spiritual culture.Physical education students are the future access to talent in China’s physical education work,and their own manifestation of Chinese sports spirit and their mastery of its theories have important practical significance for the educated and the social sports leading.In this study,the main subjects are college students in Chongqing colleges and universities,and the research methods used include questionnaire survey method,literature analysis method and data collection method.This article explores and analyzes the connotation,characteristics and values of Chinese sports spirit,and also understands the current situation,deficiencies and reasons of cultivating Chinese sports spirit among college students in some colleges and universities in Chongqing,and gives a series of opinions for better cultivating Chinese sports spirit among college students.The results of the study point out that the deficiencies in the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit among college students can be attributed to the following points: the lack of efforts to promote Chinese sports spirit in society;the lack of attention to Chinese sports spirit in schools;the lack of teaching of Chinese sports spirit to college students by their families;and the lack of in-depth understanding of Chinese sports spirit among college students.The main reasons for the lack of cultivation of Chinese sports spirit among college students are: the lack of publicity of Chinese sports spirit in the community and media;the single path of cultivating Chinese sports spirit among college students in schools;the lack of cultivation of Chinese sports spirit among college students in family education;the lack of deep knowledge of Chinese sports spirit among fathers and mothers to tell the story of Chinese sports;and the lack of personal learning.The following measures can be taken to cultivate Chinese sports spirit among contemporary college students: firstly,the society actively promotes Chinese sports spirit to create an environment for cultivating Chinese sports spirit among college students,including creating an atmosphere for promoting Chinese sports spirit in the society,and social workers should actively promote and publicize Chinese sports spirit.Secondly,the school should play the role of a base in the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit among college students,including using the network media to strengthen the propaganda in the school,carrying out the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit through extracurricular sports activities,integrating Chinese sports spirit in the physical education classroom,strengthening the education on the transmission of Chinese sports spirit in sports competitions,promoting Chinese sports spirit through "sports stars",and attaching importance to the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit.Chinese sports spirit is promoted through "sports stars",and the content design of Chinese sports spirit dissemination is emphasized.Again,the family plays a fundamental role in the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit,including promoting family education to strengthen the cultivation of Chinese sports spirit among college students and starting from parents themselves.Finally,we should give full play to the initiative of college students to cultivate the character of Chinese sportsmanship,including the enhancement of college students’ theoretical learning ability and practical ability.
