| In the context of rural revitalization and cultural revitalization, more attention has been paid to the spiritual and cultural needs of farmers.Among them, rural women,as an important participation force in rural revitalization, have an increasingly strong desire for self-expression and construction, and the rapid development of the Internet and short videos provides them with an important way and platform to show themselves to the outside world. Here, body has become the most important capital for rural women to carry out self-narrative,body narrative has become the most important means for rural women to achieve effective self-expression and performance, and short video has become an important medium for rural women’s body narrative. In recent years, due to the development of media technology, the importance of the body in communication has been paid more and more attention in communication research. As an important research topic, body narrative has expanded its connotation and research scope under the background of the development of visual culture.Rural women’s practice of body narration on short video platform fully shows the development and application of body narration in the era of visual culture. In this context, this paper uses content analysis method, participant observation method and other research methods to carry out statistics and analysis on 15 rural female accounts,a total of 225 videos. It is found that rural women usually begin their body narrative from the aspects of recording life and showing themselves, conveying emotions and attitudes, and spreading rural culture. In these narrative contents, the body carries the connotation and form of recording, aesthetic appreciation, consumption and communication. These body forms are reflected through the recording of "micro narrative" and "grand narrative",the pursuit of technological aesthetics, the catering to consumerism and the strengthening of self-cognition and social interaction. In the process of body narration, rural women often adopt diversified strategies, including creating distinctive "other" bodies, abnormal bodies of defamiliarization, dramatic consumption bodies and socialized empathic bodies,so as to better complete self-narration and quickly connect with audiences. And rural women’s body narrative is often affected by technology, capital and multiple gaze. This means that the rural female body is being transformed into a socialized body in the narrative process. The body in this sense not only faces the discipline from various power relations, but also is symbolized as a commodity, showing the characteristics of entertainment and one-sidedness.In addition, the rural culture represented by rural women in their self-narrative is also facing the fate of being absorbed by ideology and commerce.Starting from the dimension of the body and guided by the idea of"people-oriented",this paper reflects on the body narrative of rural women. On the one hand, from the perspective of the individual, rural women should always keep a clear awareness of themselves and return to the attention of life ontology. On the other hand, from the external environment, the short video platform, the government and the audience cooperate with each other to form a "human-oriented" body concept in the whole society and contribute to the formation of a comprehensive, real and objective rural landscape. |
