| With the continuous reform of the new curriculum,deep learning has become a hot topic in the field of education and teaching.Deep learning refers to the process that students learn around challenging learning topics under the guidance of teachers and realize meaningful learning.In the process of learning,students can master the core knowledge of this subject,cultivate scientific thinking,improve the ability of scientific inquiry,and form an optimistic attitude and positive emotions.In order to effectively promote senior high school students’ deep learning in biology,this study introduces social-scientific issues(SSI)into biology class,arouses students’ learning enthusiasm and realizes students’ deep learning.Social science issues refer to a series of controversial topics with the development of science and technology.Introducing social science issues into biology teaching in senior high schools as a situation,through which students actively discuss and think about social science issues,will help to promote the understanding and application of knowledge,improve their critical and argumentation abilities,enhance their interest in learning,have a correct scientific attitude,enhance their sense of social responsibility and realize deep learning.In this study,SSI is the teaching method,and the goal is to realize students’ deep learning.At present,the research on the application of SSI teaching to promote students’ deep learning in China is less and less systematic,so it is necessary to further study.Firstly,this study combs the research status of deep learning and SSI teaching at home and abroad to find the connection point between SSI teaching and deep learning,and on this basis,constructs the theoretical basis for SSI teaching to promote high school students’ deep learning in biology;This paper analyzes the feasibility of SSI teaching to promote high school students’ deep learning from the aspects of SSI teaching steps,the definition of deep learning and the core literacy of biology,so as to provide theoretical research basis for this topic.Secondly,through interviews and exchanges with biology teachers in a senior high school,we can understand the current situation of SSI teaching in the local area and the attitudes and views of biology teachers in senior high schools on SSI teaching,sum up relevant problems and analyze the reasons.At the same time,a questionnaire survey was conducted among senior high school students and the survey data were sorted out and analyzed,so as to understand the current situation of deep learning among senior high school students and summarize the reasons for this situation.Finally,the high school biology teaching design is combined with the content of high school biology textbooks and the teaching route and process of SSI teaching to promote deep learning.In the process of classroom practice,the same content is selected to observe and record the experimental class and the control class,and the classroom performance of students and teachers in the two classes are analyzed,which proves that SSI teaching can effectively guide students’ active learning and cooperative inquiry.After the completion of teaching practice,the experimental class and the control class were tested by analysis of means and independent sample T-test in terms of knowledge mastery,ability improvement and emotional development,including post-test questionnaire,test scores and PTA self-evaluation.The results show that SSI teaching can promote the deep learning of senior high school students and contribute to the implementation of core literacy.Based on the analysis of classroom observation records,post-test questionnaires,PTA scale and post-test scores,relevant conclusions are drawn.Through the analysis of five high school biology textbooks,this study believes that SSI teaching materials are rich and can be applied to high school biology teaching.Through the investigation of SSI teaching and students’ deep learning in high school biology,as well as the teaching design and teaching practice of SSI teaching promoting deep learning in high school biology,it can be concluded that SSI teaching can promote students’ deep learning and help students improve the core literacy of biology.In order to better promote the deep learning of high school students,some suggestions are put forward for the implementation of SSI teaching in high school biology.First,SSI is combined with some knowledge in biology textbooks to infiltrate into high school biology classroom by SSI teaching mode.The second is to establish a SSI teaching database through teachers’ joint collection of materials related to SSI teaching. |
