Music is a kind of cultural and artistic activity,which is of great significance to improve the artistic appreciation ability of primary school students.Music teaching has also become one of the most important subjects under quality education.The elements of music include melody,timbre,rhythm,etc.,among which rhythm is the most important.rhythm refers to the phenomenon that the length of sound changes according to a certain law.In other words,all the regular rhythm in nature can be seen as a rhythm.In music teaching,the learning of rhythm is crucial and also a prerequisite for learning music.Scholar Carl Orff proposed that rhythm training is the premise of learning all music theories,which also shows the importance of cultivating the sense of rhythm in music education.The purpose of music teaching is to promote students’ aesthetic ability and appreciation ability.However,some scholars put forward that people are born with the sense of rhythm,but the cultivation of rhythm requires more acquired learning.For primary school students,their understanding ability and mastery of the sense of rhythm are far from enough.Appropriate rhythm training is of significant significance to stimulate their musical literacy ability.Through a certain degree of learning and training,pupils can improve the mastery and understanding of music knowledge.Therefore,the paper focuses on the cultivation of the sense of rhythm in primary school music education.The paper adopts the questionnaire survey method,taking the teachers and students of A primary school as the research object to understand their relevant situation in the process of rhythm cultivation.And analyze the exposed problems,one is the lack of music rhythm,two is the lack of practical teachers,the third is the lack of teaching innovation methods.In view of the above problems,the paper also analyzes the reasons behind them.The reason is that students ’interest in rhythm training is not high,teachers’ ideological understanding is insufficient,and influenced by teaching facilities and other aspects.On this basis,the paper puts forward relevant solutions: it is necessary to combine the actual situation of students,improve students ’interest in learning,design a rich variety of teaching classes,and at the same time,improve teachers’ professional ability.Finally,the paper adopts various teaching methods,such as orff teaching method,body rhythm teaching method,Kodak teaching method and rhythm design teaching,to provide reference for promoting the learning and training of primary school students’ sense of rhythm.
