| Women’s field hockey,as a part of China’s women’s collective ball projects,has always been tasked with the mission of winning medals in the Olympics,but the overall strength of the Chinese women’s field hockey team has been on a downhill trend after the Beijing Olympics,and has failed to even enter the top eight in the last two Olympics.At this stage,the Chinese women’s hockey team is facing a new cycle of revitalizing the women’s game for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and the 2024 Paris Olympics.With the change of game pace caused by the change of field hockey competition rules in recent years,short corners have increasingly become the main means of scoring for teams,while the tactical use of short corners directly affects the outcome of the execution of short corners.The Tokyo Olympics exposed the problem that the use of short corner tactics in China’s women’s field hockey team is too single,and there is a lack of research on short corner tactics in China.Understanding the characteristics of short corner tactics used by the team at the current stage of the game can help the team to clarify the direction of training and use of short corner tactics in the future.Based on this study,the characteristics of Chinese women’s field hockey short corner tactics are studied to provide reference for improving the team’s short corner ability,coaches’ reasonable and effective short corner tactics training and the use of short corner tactics by coaches and players in games.The paper uses literature,field research,expert interview,video analysis,mathematical statistics and other research methods to study the short corner tactical characteristics of the Chinese women’s field hockey team at this stage,and count all 158 short corners between the Chinese team and the game opponents in all 19 international games that the Chinese women’s field hockey team participated in 2022.China and the game opponent,and China won and lost the game two dimensions for comparative analysis,the main findings are as follows.Ⅰ.Overall: The number of short corner goals scored by China in all the games involved in the statistics accounted for 51% of the total number of goals scored,and the success rate of short corner goals was 19.3%,which was better than the average level of17.5% of the game opponents.The defensive success rate of short corners was 83%,better than the average of 81% of the opponents.However,the performance of the game was influenced by the opponent of the game,facing the world’s top-ranked Dutch team in the two games without a goal,and only obtained a short corner kick.From the point of view of the short corner attack: 1.the production of short corners is mainly on the right side,the initiative is not enough;2.the short corner attack is fast and compact,but there is still a gap from the world’s strongest teams;3.the 1-4-2 starting attack position form has a fixed nature;4.the shot area selection is more balanced in the near and far corners,the far corner half high ball is the most threatening shot area combination;5.the strong attack is still the most dominant tactic The shooting method is mainly pushing,more than one pushing;7.Short corner shooting players have sufficient reserves,but the use of personnel is slightly single.From the point of view of short corner defense: 1.1-2-1 is the main form of defensive stance of the Chinese team,with insufficient variability;2.the key defensive area is the far corner of the goal;3.the goalkeeper has strong defensive ability,a quick and decisive punch,and stance defense is the main way of defending short corners;4.the rest of the defensive players are decisive and accurate in grabbing points.Conclusion: At this stage,the Chinese team has a high percentage of short corner goals,strong offensive and defensive ability,strong offensive ability,tight rhythm of sending-stop-striking,fast speed of pushing the ball by the pushing players,tacit cooperation between defensive players,good overall,accurate point grabbing,but the game has less changes in the offensive and defensive elements,insufficient initiative to make short corners,more single form of offensive tactics use,lack of game adaptability.The overall characteristics of the game are influenced by the opponent’s pair of level. |
