| 7E teaching mode is a modern teaching mode proposed based on constructivism theory,meaningful learning theory and concept transformation theory.It adds "elicit" and "extend" links on the basis of 5E mode,which can better reflect the student-oriented view of the new curriculum reform and help students to master scientific concepts and develop core qualities.Scientific thinking,as the ability that talents should possess in the21 st century,has been favored by science educators at home and abroad.Since the promulgation of the biology curriculum standard of ordinary high school in 2017,the research on biological scientific thinking of high school students in the field of basic education has gradually deepened,while the research on biological scientific thinking in junior high school is relatively lacking.In order to fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people and developing quality-oriented education,the Ministry of Education issued a new version of the Biology Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in April 2022,formally proposing the core biology literacy of compulsory education,which also includes scientific thinking.The key issue of this paper is to explore the effect of 7E teaching model on the development of biological scientific thinking ability of junior middle school students,and put forward the teaching suggestions of applying this model to develop students’ scientific thinking,and expand the scope of use of 7E teaching model in junior middle school,so it has strong theoretical and practical significance.By reading literature,the author summarized the research progress of 7E teaching model and scientific thinking at home and abroad,tried to design the teaching process of developing biological scientific thinking of junior high school students based on the characteristics of each link of 7E,and took the human education edition of the first volume of the seventh grade biology textbook as an example to select appropriate content and compile the teaching design.At the same time,referring to the division of the level of scientific thinking in the new curriculum standard of high school biology and combining with the thinking characteristics of junior high school students,four levels of scientific thinking in junior high school biology are drawn up and based on this,scientific thinking tests and questionnaires are prepared as the evaluation tool of this study.Finally,by selecting Class 9,Grade 1,a homogeneous class,as the experimental class to adopt 7E mode,and Class 12,Grade 1,as the control class to adopt the conventional teaching mode,we carried out a semester of educational experiment research,and then further explored the practical effect of 7E mode through the collection and analysis of experimental data.The results show that after the application of 7E teaching model in junior high school biology class,the classroom atmosphere is more active and students’ participation is higher.By using the software SPSS26.0 to conduct independent sample T test on the experimental data,it can be seen that there are significant differences in the overall level of post-test scientific thinking and the scientific thinking ability of the two classes in the four sub-dimensions of comparison and classification,analysis and synthesis,induction and generalization,model and modeling,indicating that 7E model can promote the development of biological scientific thinking of junior middle school students.Therefore,7E model can be popularized and applied in biology classroom of compulsory education.In the process of using 7E model for teaching,teachers should first read the new curriculum standard and textbooks,establish the goal of scientific thinking,flexibly use the links of 7E,and then select thinking materials to design teaching activities,so as to give full play to the maximum effect of this model on the improvement of scientific thinking. |
