SWOT Analysis And Strategy Study On The Development Of Three-Person Basketball In China’s Universities

The women’s basketball team won a medal in the Olympic Games in 2020,giving us an alternative "track" for the revitalisation of the three major sports.This paper is based on literature,questionnaires and surveys.In this paper,the feasibility of developing three-person basketball program in colleges and universities is analysed by literature,questionnaires,expert interviews and SWOT analysis,and the current situation of three-person basketball in colleges and universities is investigated in terms of enthusiasm,awareness and curriculum development.1.The three-person basketball programme has a certain mass base and a good atmosphere in colleges and universities.However,the gender classification reveals that the participants are mainly male students and female students hardly participate in the programme,which causes an imbalance in the number of male and female students and unbalanced development of the programme.2.The main ways for students to learn about the three-person basketball programme are the internet and communication among friends,which means that self-media and event broadcasting have become the main ways to promote the programme,but the use of resources within the school is insufficient and needs to be improved.3.As the demands of modern society continue to increase on the comprehensive ability of university students,students are under greater academic and employment pressure,so releasing pressure and recreation are the main reasons for participating in three-person basketball.The number of people who play basketball for the love of the game,to improve their physical fitness and to expand their social life is also at the top of the list.However,the frequency of participation needs to be improved,and the comparison of the impact before and after the Olympic Games shows that there are more newcomers,and guidance needs to be strengthened to promote the frequency of participation.4.There is a clear lack of curriculum development,mainly reflected in the low popularity of information and knowledge related to three-person basketball,the lack of emphasis on schools,the lack of relevant policy support,and the lack of training for teachers related to the three-person basketball programme.5.In terms of strengths,the main focus is on the large population base of universities participating in the three-person basketball programme,the wide scope of the programme,the influence of the universities themselves and the incomparable advantages of scientific research;in terms of weaknesses,the development of the curriculum in universities is relatively backward,while the selection of materials,events and training for participants at the competitive level in universities need to be improved as soon as possible;in terms of opportunities,the needs of the country in the development of sports provide external support for the development of three-person basketball in universities.The development of the three-person basketball programme in colleges and universities is supported by the experience of the five-person basketball programme,while the shortcomings in the current development need to be corrected and strengthened in time;disadvantages in terms of strengthening the guidance of the values of the three-person basketball programme to students in colleges and universities,the degree of professionalism needs to be improved,and the publicity effect is not good.6.The SWOT analysis matrix proposes SO sustainable,WO turnaround and developmental strategies for the development of three-person basketball in colleges and universities in China.developmental strategy,WO reversal development strategy,ST multi-factor integration development strategy,WT defensive development strategy.
