Student-student dialogue is one of the teaching organization forms used in mathematics classroom teaching.It belongs to a kind of dialogue teaching.It pays attention to the dialogue process between students.It is of great significance for students to master mathematics knowledge and develop social communication skills.Most of the existing studies start from the three dimensions of language,culture and meaning to construct a dialogue analysis framework,and most of them focus on the dialogue between teachers and students in the mathematics classroom.Under the situation that the new curriculum reform requires paying attention to the common development of teachers and students and the process,it is very necessary to know how the student-student dialogue is carried out in the mathematics classroom and what strategies to promote the student-student dialogue.Based on the analysis framework of teacher-student dialogue,combined with the actual mathematics classroom,starting from the three research perspectives of language,meaning and culture,this paper uses the classroom observation as the main research method to construct the junior middle school mathematics classroom student-student dialogue classroom observation scale to observe and study the mathematics classroom.On this basis,teachers and students are interviewed for some questions reflected in the scale,and the implementation of student-student dialogue in the junior high school mathematics classroom is further analyzed.The main findings are as follows:The highlights of the implementation of student-student dialogue in middle school mathematics classrooms are as follows: careful consideration and reasonable arrangement in the grouping.The forms of dialogue are rich and diverse,flexible and changeable.The classroom atmosphere is warm and the goal is clear.The opportunities will be equal and respect each other.At the same time,there are some problems in the process of student-student dialogue,such as the question set is not reasonable.The time arrangement is not specific,and the dialogue time is not arranged according to the problem level.The teachers’ evaluation feedback is insufficient,and the evaluation objects and methods are not comprehensive enough.The overall process of student-student dialogue is not sufficient and monotonous.According to the specific situation in the implementation,this paper puts forward the following strategies to promote the student-student dialogue in junior middle school mathematics classrooms:(1)Clarify the significance of student-student dialogue.(2)Balanced student-student dialogue group.(3)Skillfully set up the problem of student-student dialogue.(4)Grasp the opportunity of student-student dialogue.(5)Strengthen the goal of student-student dialogue.(6)Enrich student-student dialogue’s evaluation.
