A Study On Laozi’s View Of Life And Death And Its Enlightenment To College Students’ Life Education

The exploration of life and death has never stopped since the birth of mankind,which is an eternal topic.No one can avoid life and death.Besides,the establishment of the outlook on life is also based on the correct outlook on life and death,especially for college students whose outlook on life has not been fully established,the establishment of the correct outlook on life and death is very key and important.The pressure and challenges brought by the increasingly fierce competition to college students urge them to continuously improve themselves in order to realize the value of life.At the same time,some students fail to form a correct understanding of life and death,resulting in adverse life events,even extreme life events,which must be paid enough attention.In particular,the outbreak of COVID-19 has awakened people’s sense of life again.Facing the negative phenomenon caused by the deviation in understanding the problem of life and death,it is very important for them to carry out life education and help them get out of the cognitive misunderstanding of life and death.How to establish a correct view of life and death and guide behavior is also a question that must be answered.Lao Tzu takes “Tao” as the core and “Tao follows nature”as the highest criterion.According to his thinking on life and death,Lao Tzu has formed a rich concept of life and death,which can provide localized resources for college students’ life education.This paper takes the Popular Books of Tao Te Ching as the text,using the methods of text analysis,literature research,and comparative research,this paper makes a systematic analysis of the discussion on life and death in the original text.From it,we can explore Laozi’s view of natural life,spiritual life and social life,as well as the essence,attitude and Transcendence of death.On the basis of sorting and analysis,this paper sorts out the main viewpoints of Lao Tzu’s view of life and death,and take a scientific attitude towards his concept of life and death,learn from its reasonable components and rationally view its limitations,so as to better apply it in reality and give full play to its theoretical value,provide modern enlightenment for college students’ life education.Firstly,this paper investigates the formation of Lao Tzu’s view of life and death from three aspects: Lao Tzu’s life,era background and ideological origin.Secondly,it expounds the philosophical basis of his view of life and death,expounds “Tao” in detail from two aspects: the connotation and characteristics of “Tao”,and analyzes the key concept of“nature”.Thirdly,it expounds Lao Tzu’s view of natural life from three aspects: the origin of life,the concept of life in which the body is more important than things,and the equal life care of all living beings;Expounds Lao Tzu’s view of spiritual life from two aspects:the ideal personality of uniting with Taoism and the realm of life;Expounds Lao Tzu’s view of social life from three aspects: the principle of self-knowledge,the reasonable wisdom of advancing and retreating,and the ideal society of harmony between man and me;Expounds Laozi’s view of death from three aspects: the essence of death,the attitude of death and the transcendence of death.It also points out two limitations of Lao Tzu’s view of life and death: one is to advocate nature too much and deny humanistic society;Second,it exaggerates the role of spirit and deviates from reality to a certain extent.Finally,analysis of the current life and death problems of college students,we can actively grasp the Enlightenment of Lao Tzu’s view of life and death,and guide the existing problems of College Students’ life and death from the current literature.
