Computer technology teachers in primary and secondary schools are an important force in the construction of educational informatization, but teachers of this subject often do not receive due attention and respect in schools, and some of them may develop burnout, reduce their work commitment,or even leave their jobs, while job satisfaction can effectively predict teachers’ burnout and work commitment. In addition, since its teacher team is relatively young, this study was conducted with computer technology teachers who have been teaching for 5 years or less as the research subjects. The study is intended to provide a reference for the professional development of computer technology teachers.Based on the job demands-resources model(JD-R model),this study constructed a model of beginning computer technology teachers’ job satisfaction and conducted a study on beginning computer technology teachers through questionnaires and interviews. The study was divided into the following steps: first, interviews were conducted with beginning computer technology teachers, and based on the reading of literature and interviews, two elements of job requirements in terms of role overload and student-side stress and two elements of job resources in terms of career development space and organizational support were derived,to which personal resources were added, with psychological capital as the main variable. Then, the existing classical questionnaire was borrowed to distribute and analyze the target group, and the results showed that: job requirements(student-side stress)can negatively predict teachers’ job satisfaction;job resources(organizational support and career development space)can positively predict teachers’ job satisfaction;and psychological capital plays a mediating role in job resources and job satisfaction.Second, the results of the interviews with beginning computer technology teachers were analyzed to explain the results of the questionnaires in depth and to make recommendations for this study: first, recommendations for the school side: first,to actively develop the psychological capital of beginning computer technology teachers to overcome the challenges posed by job requirements and to make better use of job resources;second,to provide professional development opportunities for beginning computer technology teachers so that they can better engage in Third, job requirements should be matched with job resources, especially schools should enhance emotional support for beginning computer technology teachers;fourth, timely feedback should be provided to beginning computer technology teachers so that they can build on their strengths and avoid their weaknesses.Secondly, there are suggestions for individual teachers: first, they should actively adjust their mindset and enhance their adaptability;second, they should use excellent resources to improve their overall quality. Finally, the future research outlook and the shortcomings of this study are presented. |
