Realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the mission of our country.Generations of college students are the main bearers of the era’s mission.Since the reform and opening up,especially with the arrival of the turbulent period of the world today,Under the influence of many complicated factors,the mission spirit of college students has been subtly influenced.They lack a proper and complete understanding of the era’s mission,Lack of initiative and conscientiousness in carrying out the era’s mission.Strengthening the cultivation of college students’ spirit of mission responsibility is a necessary means to cope with various complex contradictions at domestic and foreign.To cultivate college students’ mission bearing spirit,we should first grasp the connotation of college students’ mission bearing spirit scientifically.Combined with the scientific nature of the Chinese Dream and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s relevant discourse on the mission of youth,In this paper,the connotation of college students’ mission spirit is subdivided into the mission spirit of maintaining socialist ideology as the core,Innovation mission with promoting scientific and technological innovation as the core,To carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture as the core of the national mission,To uphold the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind.To fully understand the connotation of college students’ mission spirit from the political,economic,cultural and world dimensions.First of all,the logic of this paper is to clarify the theoretical source of college students’ mission responsibility,the connotation dimension of college students’ mission responsibility and The Times value of cultivating the spirit of college students’ mission responsibility in the turbulent period of the world.Secondly,a questionnaire was designed to explore the status quo of "identification","acceptance" and "externalization" of mission responsibility among college students in Guangzhou by taking the four connotations of mission responsibility as the vertical dimension and the "knowledge,emotion,intention and action" in the cultivation process of mission responsibility spirit of college students.This paper analyzes the shortcomings of college students in undertaking the mission of The Times,and summarizes the causes of this situation.Finally,in order to strengthen the mission responsibility behavior of college students,combined with relevant educational theories and knowledge,from the main body of college students,the main channel of cultivating the spirit of mission responsibility,namely universities,and society,summed up the path and countermeasures to strengthen the cultivation of the spirit of mission responsibility of college students.It is expected that college students can form a complete cognition of mission responsibility,correctly define their own role as the main body of mission responsibility,and actively participate in the practice of the mission of The Times,the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
