| Background: The World Health Organization report shows that the global average prevalence of autism is about 0.62%,which means that there is one autistic in every 160 children.More and more people with autism spectrum disorders are diagnosed.On the one hand,it will bring great pressure to the society,on the other hand,it will make the families of autistic patients face the double burden of economy and psychology.How to treat autism has become an urgent problem to be solved all over the world.Sports,as an easy to operate,convenient and low-cost intervention,has been widely recognized at home and abroad.economic cost,sports intervention has been widely recognized at home and abroad.Basketball originated from a kind of children’s game.As a popular sport,there are many basketball fans from compulsory education to colleges and universities.As an important part of school education in school sports,basketball itself has the characteristics of clustering,dynamic,cooperation and so on.It is suitable for the intervention of special education for autistic children.Objective: the first purpose of this study is to explore the immediate effect of 7-week basketball training on the behavioral characteristics of autistic adolescents and the follow-up effect two weeks after the end of training;The second purpose of the study is to analyze the service experience of volunteers during the implementation of the project from a qualitative perspective.Research methods: through the early evaluation and observation of exercise ability,10 adolescents with autism spectrum disorders aged 12 to 18 were selected as experimental subjects and trained in basketball for 7 weeks.In the teaching process,the group teaching method is adopted,with 5 students in each group,and the ratio of coaches(including volunteers)to students is 1:3.Parents were asked to fill in the behavior scale for autistic children(ABC scale)before the intervention,immediately after the intervention and two weeks after the intervention.In addition,the study also selected two teenagers as cases for special analysis.Finally,during the implementation of the project,the feelings of the activities written by the volunteers were collected.After the project was completed,a special interview outline was designed to interview the volunteers.Paired sample t-test method is used in data processing,and text analysis method is used in interview data processing.Results:(1)from the overall results,the impact of 7-week basketball intervention on the behavioral characteristics of autistic adolescents is not significant(P > 0.05).Two weeks after the intervention,the perceptual ability and speech ability of autistic adolescents have improved(P < 0.05).From the case analysis,the behavioral characteristics of some autistic adolescents have improved to varying degrees.(2)In the analysis part of volunteer service experience,the research makes an in-depth explanation from the changes of mentality,communication and interaction,teaching difficulties and solutions,and self summary.Research conclusions:(1)After basketball intervention,the overall development of autistic adolescents has improved to a certain extent,and they have made some progress in social communication,sensory perception,verbal communication,repetitive stereotyped behavior and cognition.Especially in sensory perception and verbal communication,but the performance is not stable enough and needs long-term motor intervention.(2)Basketball intervention can improve the behavioral characteristics of autistic adolescents to a certain extent.The intervention environment,the intensity of intervention and the participation of parents in the intervention process will affect the intervention effect.(3)Generally,in the face of autistic teenagers,when using physical education,it is mostly group training method,adding appropriate sports games and interesting jumping circles to the teaching content,and giving positive feedback in time,which can achieve the teaching effect of maintaining classroom order and reducing students’ distraction.(4)In the teaching process,we should pay real-time attention to and solve the possible burnout of coaches(volunteers)in time,encourage coaches and autistic teenagers to build trust and accept each other,and advocate everyone to pool their wisdom and wisdom in case of problems in teaching.(5)Sports intervention treatment needs to be carried out for a long time,and the short-term effect is not obvious.After a period of time,it stops halfway.The behavioral characteristics of autistic adolescents have decreased significantly in sensory perception and speech ability.(6)As an auxiliary treatment,basketball intervention has been highly praised by parents and volunteers. |
