In the new round of curriculum reform,the General High School Thought and Politics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020)proposes to shape the high school politics curriculum into an activity-based subject curriculum,giving full play to teachers’ initiative,proactiveness and creativity in teaching the activity-based politics curriculum and improving students’ core literacy.As an innovative highlight of the new curriculum,in order to reflect the concept of combining subject and activity in the teaching practice of activity-based politics courses and to promote the development of students’ core literacy,higher demands must be placed on senior secondary politics teachers.Clarifying the role of high school politics teachers in activity-based politics course teaching and facilitating role realisation is crucial to enhancing the effectiveness of politics course teaching and promoting students’ literacy development.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to take the teaching of activity-based politics courses in senior secondary schools as an entry point and to focus on the role of teachers and their role realisation in teaching activity-based politics courses in senior secondary schools.The teaching of activity-based politics courses in senior secondary schools is an important way to fulfil the fundamental task of establishing moral education,and senior secondary politics teachers play an important role in it.Therefore,high school politics teachers must adhere to the correct political direction,follow the requirements of the new curriculum,and respect the development of students in the teaching of activity-based politics courses,in order to effectively promote the professional development of high school politics teachers,improve students’ core subject literacy,and enhance the effectiveness of teaching.In the teaching of activity-based politics courses in senior secondary schools,teachers take on the important roles of designing and integrating teaching objectives,setting and initiating teaching topics,planning and promoting teaching activities,and designing and improving teaching evaluation.Through actual investigation,it is found that the current implementation process of activity-based politics curriculum teaching in senior secondary schools has problems such as the lack of clarity of objectives,the need to strengthen the role of the designer of teaching objectives,the lack of scientific topics,the lack of the role of the setter of teaching topics,the lack of balanced activities,the immature role of the planner of teaching activities,the lack of diversified evaluation,the lack of the role of the perfector of teaching evaluation,and other problems of teachers’ roles not being realised,which will give These problems can have a negative impact on the effective implementation of activity-based political science teaching in senior secondary schools.The main reasons for this are the lack of theoretical and practical skills of teachers,the lack of adaptation of students to the role of teachers in activity-based politics,the lack of support and guidance from the education administration and schools,and the utilitarian nature of social expectations that limit the motivation of teachers to develop their roles.On the basis of clarifying the role of teachers in activity-based political science teaching in high school and fully understanding and grasping the problems of the role of high school political science teachers,the path to realising the role of teachers in activity-based political science teaching in high school should be explored in four dimensions: continuously improving the quality of teachers’ role in activity-based political science teaching,enhancing students’ participation in activity-based political science teaching,and improving the role of teachers in activity-based political science teaching.This means continuously improving the quality of teachers’ roles in activity-based politics teaching,enhancing students’ participation in activity-based politics teaching,improving the role support system for teachers in education administration and schools,and guiding society to form a good atmosphere for the realisation of teachers’ roles.High school political science teachers should be fully aware that activity-based political science teaching is an important direction of the new curriculum reform,that their role orientation and role realisation in activity-based political science teaching is of great significance in enhancing the effectiveness of high school political science teaching,and that there are still many problems in practice that require continuous practical exploration,experience summary and theoretical innovation.
