Blackboard writing is the method of transmitting information on blackboard in teaching by teachers,which can be words,pictures,symbols and other contents.The mission of teachers is to spread knowledge with oral and written language.Blackboard writing is an ordinary method in teaching.The rapid development of information technology is having a profound impact on teaching in junior high schools,the traditional classrooms are gradually replaced by the multimedia classrooms,and blackboard writing is facing a serious challenge.The paper focuses on the current situation of blackboard writing in biology teaching in junior high schools in the multimedia environment,points out the optimization strategies,and analyzes the effects of teaching on student learning comparing the combination of blackboard writing and the multimedia technology in teaching with the single application of multimedia classrooms in teaching.Finally,the paper proposes that biology educator should pay more attention to blackboard writing in teaching,should strengthen the training of blackboard writing skills,and puts forward the idea of blackboard handwriting design in biology teaching for the teachers in junior high schools.Firstly,the paper analyzes the current situation of blackboard writing in teaching at home and abroad with related literatures,and defines the core concepts of blackboard writing and blackboard writing design.In order to understand the cognition and application of blackboard writing in biology teaching in junior high schools,the paper carries out a questionnaire survey among 58 biology teachers and interviews6 biology teachers in Henan Province.The paper also records the observing results of the status of blackboard writing design of the teachers and the reactions of the students for blackboard writing during the internship.Based on the feedback information from the above three aspects,the following problems were found:“Teachers rely too much on multimedia in class and their awareness of writing on the blackboard is not strong;They always forget how to write the words,the stroke order is always wrong,and even typos appear,which is not scientific enough;The layout is unreasonable and lacks artistry,the knowledge is presented as text mainly,and the color and form are monotonous and lacks innovation;The writing contents overlap with multimedia,the teachers do not pay attention to the timing of writing,and the course lacks integrity.Five optimization strategies are proposed in view of these problems in the paper.To add theoretical training related to blackboard handwriting with the ideological guidance,to build a public platform for high-quality blackboard handwriting design for the model demonstration,to emphasize the necessity of blackboard handwriting under the supervision of schools,to improve the abilities of blackboard handwriting design with the recognition for the value of blackboard handwriting from the teachers,and to construct the effective assessment system of blackboard writing with the perfect evaluation indicators.Secondly,the sixth chapter of ‘Life History of Green Flowering Plants’ is chosen to make a case study.Two classes with no significant difference in biological scores are selected as the experimental class and the control class according to the biological scores of the mid-term test in the seventh grade.The method of the combination of blackboard handwriting and the multimedia teaching is used in the experimental class,while the method of the multimedia teaching is only used in the control class.After the students have studied the contents of the chapter of ‘Life History of Green Flowering Plants’,the test is conducted and the scores of the students are analyzed with related data analysis technologies.The results show that the test scores of the students in the experimental class are significantly higher than those in the control class.The interviewers are common with the importance of blackboard handwriting to help the students to understand biological knowledge and take notes in class.Meanwhile,the results of the evaluation of biological note-taking assignments of the sixth chapter show that the average scores of students in the experimental class are also higher than that in the control class.It is important to focus on blackboard handwriting design in the multimedia environment for the teachers based on the results of the above three aspects.When the teachers pay more attention to blackboard writing during teaching preparation and design,teaching quality in the subject of biology is becoming more excellent.
