Hefei Economic Development District Junior High School Physical Education Teacher Class Teacher Work Competency Study

In order to comprehensively deepen the reform of education and teaching,improve the quality of compulsory education.Especially in the new educational situation,higher requirements have been put forward for the ability of class teachers to serve.At present,in the case that whether physical education teachers can serve as class teachers has attracted much social attention and controversy,whether physical education teachers can be competent as class teachers and the advantages and disadvantages of serving as class teachers have become urgent topics to be solved.To this end,this paper investigates and studies the competence of physical education teachers in Hefei Economic Development Zone Junior High School,and analyzes the main factors affecting the work of physical education teachers as class teachers by understanding the advantages and disadvantages of physical education teachers as class teachers,so as to provide effective suggestions for physical education teachers to be competent as class teachers,and can also provide a feasible reference for school leaders in selecting class teachers.Through the study of the competence of physical education teachers in Hefei Economic Development District Junior High School,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Through the collation and analysis of questionnaire data,it is concluded that the overall competence level of physical education teachers is high,of which the professional ethics and emotional competence characteristics are the best,and the teaching ability and knowledge structure competence characteristics are poor.(2)The advantages of physical education teachers’ competence as class teachers are mainly reflected in: time and physique,class management,promoting the balanced development of students’ various subjects,interpersonal communication,mental health counseling and innovative moral education methods;disadvantages are mainly reflected in: insufficient motivation for self-achievement,lack of knowledge structure system,and insufficient ability to reflect and summarize.(3)The main reasons that affect physical education teachers to serve as class teachers are: some parents resist physical education teachers as class teachers,the selection and training mechanism for class teachers is not perfect,the evaluation of physical education teachers by society is mixed,and the cultural literacy of physical education teachers needs to be improved.Based on the above research,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for improving the competence of physical education teachers:(1)Increase the publicity of physical education concepts and improve the social status of physical education teachers.(2)Formulate a sound mechanism for the selection and recruitment of class teachers,and strengthen the construction of the physical education teacher team.(3)Strengthen the positive guidance of public opinion and improve the professional development environment for physical education teachers.(4)Continuously enhance the accumulation of cultural literacy and enh ance the service of physical education teachers and class teachers.
