Primary school is an important period for gaining experience and progress. It is also the first stage for students to master basic knowledge and learning habits. It is also an important stage to cultivate students’ self-learning ability and self-learning habits. For students,self-learning and self-learning habits will run through the whole learning stage of life, including students’ self-setting of personal learning goals,self-selection of appropriate personal learning methods,self-monitoring of personal learning process, and self-evaluation of learning results.Good self-learning ability can not only improve students’ grades, but also help to cultivate students’ good learning habits,so that students will benefit in the future study and life.In order to understand the current situation of primary school students’ self-learning in mathematics, this study used questionnaire method and interview method to investigate the level of senior students’ self-learning in mathematics in S Primary School of T City(hereinafter referred to as S Primary School). The results show that the status quo of mathematics self-learning of senior students in S Primary school is above average.Students have strong ability of independent management and independent evaluation. However, due to their strong dependence on teachers and parents, students have relatively weak performance in independent planning and arrangement, and lack of independent selection and application of learning strategies. With the increase of students’ age and experience, the mathematics self-learning ability of grade 6 students is obviously higher than that of grade 5 students.Proper competition can keep students’ self-learning motivation at a high level, and parents’ educational level also has a certain influence on the development of pupils’ self-learning ability. This study believes that there are five main reasons for the low level of mathematics self-learning in primary school students: First, primary school students have strong dependence on teachers and parents in the process of mathematics learning;Second, the mathematics learning motivation and learning interest of primary school students is not high;Third, pupils will not make learning objectives according to the actual situation, and learning objectives are vague;Fourthly, students’ application of self-learning strategy is insufficient, and their self-learning habit is poor;Fifth, students’ self-evaluation is not comprehensive and mostly focuses on grades. In view of the existing problems, this study puts forward that students should pay attention to the arrangement of learning plan before learning, keep a placid attitude in the learning process, constantly improve the ability of self-supervision,and learn to make diversified evaluation of their own learning;Teachers should make full use of all kinds of educational resources, actively create rich and diverse classroom forms, adopt diversified teaching methods, and constantly stimulate students’ learning initiative; As parents,to create an atmosphere of self-study for children,at the same time to change the concept of education, continue to learn advanced educational concepts,so that children realize the importance of self-study,encourage students to self-study and other countermeasures. |
