University-level skill competition plays an important role in selecting talents for vocational skill competition.Vocational colleges gradually attach importance to it in recent years.In this study,the present situation of extracurricular skills competition in sample schools is firstly understood with the research paradigm of quantitative and qualitative combination.Then through questionnaire survey and classroom observation to explore the influence of extracurricular skills competition on students’ classroom learning behavior;Furthermore,the reasons for the influence of extracurricular skills competition on classroom learning behavior are analyzed with interviews.Finally,suggestions for improvement are put forward.The results show that the positive effects include: enhancing students’ interest and confidence,helping students to clarify learning objectives,improving students’ learning methods,and enhancing students’ desire to speak in class;The negative effects are as follows: students attach importance to practice but not to theory,they feel frustrated when their performance is not good,and they intensify their tendency of favoring subjects and resist learning.The reasons for positive influence are as follows: the activity itself is interesting,students have the sense of competition,students take the initiative to learn from model students,and there are more communication opportunities between teachers and students;The reasons for negative influence are: students lack patience and thinking,the activity reward mechanism is not perfect,students’ autonomy of choice is not strong,and the activity development process is inadequate.In view of the negative impact,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions from four aspects.At the government level,entrepreneurs should be encouraged to participate in university-level competition activities;Organize and guide teacher training,strengthen the contact between schools and learn from each other.At the school level,activities should be standardized;Activities of a variety of incentives coexist;Extend the activity time reasonably.Teachers should guide students to choose activities correctly.Group management of different basic students;Maintain good order of activities.At the level of students,students with good grades should help others improve,break through themselves and set a good example for students.High-achieving students should choose and persist in activities that interest them and think about the connections between knowledge.Students on the edge of the pass line should correctly attribute the success or failure of learning and turn the experience and lessons into motivation. |
