With the increasing competition for talents in the society,the cultivation of talents has become a key issue.However,after a long period of educational reform,there is still the problem of low learning efficiency of students in our education.Through the research of many scholars,we find that the theory of advanced learning not only helps to solve the problem of inefficiency,but also accords with the idea of "small and refined" science class in our country,and can help students reach the advanced level of goal in a limited time.Function,as a major theme throughout high school mathematics,has an indispensable impact on students’ mathematical ability.At the same time,because of the abstract nature of the function,it is a knotty problem for high school students to cope with.Therefore,built on the concept of high school function.This paper utilises the theory of advanced learning to study the characteristics of students.According to the new textbook and mathematics curriculum standard,this paper first finds the advanced starting point and the advanced ending point of function concept,and divides the related concepts into five levels: function concept reconstruction stage,function concept deepening stage,function concept specialization stage,function system formation stage,function application stage.Among them,level five(the application stage of the function)is the advanced endpoint,and the advanced starting point is the "variable theory" of the function.However,since this section is a preparatory knowledge.It does not form part of the scope of the study.In this paper,we use literature research method to understand the relevant research and construct a hypothetical progressive framework of functional concept,and then investigate a high school in Yanji,Jilin Province.First,we looked to the school’s front-line teachers to revise and refine the initial reformist framework.According to this framework,the function test volume is developed and distributed,combining interview method and test method.Characteristics of functional conceptual learning of high school students were found: they had not much difference between male and female students.Students in liberal arts have difficulty in progressing from level 2 to level 4.It is quite awkward for science students to advance from being the foundation to the second level.Sophomores do not be too enlightening as seniors at all levels.As a whole,the progressive difficulty is from the deepening stage to the formation of the functional system.Through the analysis of the advanced characteristics of students’ learning,this paper puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Straighten your mind and teach students in accordance of their aptitude;(2)Understanding of general concepts of solid functions;(3)Consolidation of the formation of the overall conceptual system of functions;(4)Deepening functions from general to specific transformations;(5)Solutions to practical problems related to enhancement functions.The purpose of this study is tantamount to understanding the advanced status of the concept of function in high school students through the innovative theory of learning to help train high-quality talents.Hope to be a part of a position to provide helpful advice to the first line of high school mathematics teachers to help improve teaching.
