The concept of Educational Big Data has been deeply affecting the construction of informatization in colleges and universities.According to China’s 13 th Five-Year Plan for ICT in Education released by the Ministry of education,big data technology is supposed to be applied to a greater degree to enhance the ability of informatization to better serve teaching and management,and educational informatization has become a national strategy.The deep fusion of big data and education has become the inevitable trend and constructing Smart Campus system is an important means to achieve the collection and application of Educational Big Data.Therefore,it is of great practical value to study the planning of the Smart Campus system in higher vocational college from the perspective of big data and to carry out application design research.Through the literature review of current research status and achievements of Smart Campus both at home and abroad,this thesis focuses on the internal core planning of the overall framework of the Smart Campus system and smart application samples design.First of all,through the study of the theory,the overall goal and intelligence characteristics of Smart Campus construction are defined.Secondly,through the field study of four vocational colleges and four enterprises specializing in the development of educational information,the current status of information construction in higher vocational colleges is understood from the perspective of schools and enterprises,and some common problems and potential Smart Campus application demands are summarized.Besides,to meet the goal of smart application development,the thesis proposes a targeted framework for the overall construction of Smart Campus system,focusing on five levels of planning for the perception layer,transmit layer,big data layer,smart application layer,and security system,gives a detailed planning and design in terms of ideas,core technologies,construction layout,data center,data processing,etc.,and explains how to ensure the collection and mining of big data.Finally,taking the“smart learning platform” proposed by a higher vocational college as a specific example of smart application,the specific planning of the application system was carried out,and data mining was designed to implement using new technologies to promote the change of students’ learning model.The thesis reveals the practical application value of Smart Campus to Educational Big Data mining from the perspective of big data and points out the development points that the smart campus system can focus on in the future.During the entire research process,both literature reviews and field investigations and researches were conducted.In particular,research methods that attempted to compare the needs of schools and companies in two different dimensions were employed and thus,theory and example design were combined.Smart Campus is an important guarantee for the realization of big data strategy,and it is also the cornerstone of specific smart application development and research on its planning and design should be the primary basis.The smart application is not only an important channel for big data collection,but also a direct carrier for the value of big data.The level of application development directly relates to the “degree of intelligence” of Smart Campus.Big data application and mining are the major driving forces for future education research and reform,and they are bound to become one of the core means to promote the development of higher vocational colleges.
